The welcome was great, rooms spacious and comfortable, valet parking, nice bar. The restaurant was not great but there is plenty to choose from locally, great breakfast 2 blocks up, good fish restaurants. We really enjoyed staying here.

As far as comparable boutiques, Paramount is average. It checks the boxes for cleanliness, pleasantries, friendly staff and elegance. Rates high for good lighting in bathroom. Mattress was a bit worn but still comfortable. Our room overlooked the Director's Park which was fun. (Note to dwellers in apartments opposite - you may want to pull your shades down. Especially, when...

The Paramount Hotel is an oasis of elegance in a city with a well documented, and disturbing, homeless crisis. It is well located, beautifully appointed and our room was spacious and serene. Unfortunately, a pile of dirty dishes outside the room next door was there when we checked in ... and still there when we checked out. When we brought...

Great lobby, great bathroom. The thing that ruined a very special big birthday for my wife was the terrible mattress. If you like old, soft, lumpy, mattresses for a high price, this is the place for you. Maybe the worst ever.

My first choice when in Portland when there on business. Great location. Always clean with great service. I usually arrive to town early and they accommodate my early check in. Not the least expensive but worth it.

Check in was easy and the staff was friendly. The hotel is very well located for walking around the city complete with a variety of food trucks only a block away. We had a balcony over looking the park and it was a fantastic place to enjoy breakfast or a drink in the afternoon. The only negative, albeit a small...

Life doesn't get better. Beautiful Wednesday evening sitting on the balcony in room 306 sipping wine listening to the saxophone playing in the square. Great hotel. Pleasant staff. Ate at both restaurants downstairs. Plenty of restaurants and shops in the immediate area as well. Thoroughly enjoyable stay.

All of the staff was wonderful! the beds were cozy and the rooms were clean! It was so nice to be centrally located and walking distance to so many restaurants and places to shop. We didn't have to use our vehicle all weekend.

We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights as we toured the Portland and surrounding areas. We are an older couple and did not want to drive. We chose this hotel because of the great location. Everyone in this hotel made sure we had a great time and everything we needed. Ed, the concierge, was fabulous to us and sent...

If you want to stay in downtown Portland, this is a fairly reasonable hotel with a good location near Pioneer Square. The rooms are large and the beds comfortable with nice linens. The included breakfast is quite limited. There is no concierge on the premises, but the desk clerk is happy to help if not busy. Generally, however, there was...

“We stayed in a balcony king, but the weather was just cold enough to keep us from enjoying the balcony much... but nicely sheltered from the rain and added a romantic touch. Next time we will stay in the other king room that faces the park for a bit more private view. The room was impeccably clean, very well appointed with ample lighting and space.”
