Had a really nice time here and oddly fantastic sleep. I expected the noise from downtown would be an issue but the room had a noise machine that was relaxing. We didn’t really know how to navigate downtown Portland but stopped for a drink with Chris the bartender in the hotel bar and he broke everything down for us and made a list of places/restaurants to checkout and what to order. We spent the rest of our time going through that list and it was a blast. We ordered 2 items from each restaurant and went to 4 restaurants every night. That’s how you do it.
It's a new style of a hotel, very user friendly and sensible service arrangements. The hotel tends to favor the young professional, has plenty of common work areas. But the best is the prompt friendly service. Centrally located, many restaurants in close proximity. Can take the train to/from the airport. Station is a short walk.
This was fun hotel that was going. Emory the overnight manager was amazing. She was friendly to everyone, helpful, kind, and had an answer for alll my questions since it was my first at a Moxy. Will stay again because of Emory! Thank you! Ryan H
Love this property- everyone who works here is just amazing! Michael and Daniel especially, they made my friends and I feel soo welcome! But everyone I’ve encountered here has been extremely accommodating. We can’t wait to come back soon :-)
Had great service from the bartenders, Rachael and Chris! They provide wonderful conversation. Never had better after work vibes. Good happy hour for my first week and n portland metro area of Oregon!
My stay at Moxy was fabulous (room 403). The hotel location is central and within walking dustance to evrything in Portland downtown. Tge staff are very friendly, pleasent, and caring. Emory in particular was very helpful. One night I woke up in excrotiating pain that I later knew it was due to kidney stones. I went diwn to the lobby and Emory took good of me, called a taxi for me to tye hospital, and even stayed by me untill I took the taxi to hospital where i was treated. Thank you Moxy and thank you Emory. Totally recommended!
The Moxy is a hotel brand that I didn’t know I needed until I booked it on a whim because it was close to a concert venue I attended for NYE. I’m so glad I did! This fun and funky hotel was three walkable blocks to the concert venue in the heart of downtown Portland. It is surrounded by shopping (do not miss the Goodwill store two blocks away… it is the most high end Goodwill I have ever seen) and great restaurant options. Although basic in nature, it is flashy in its decor. The lobby is welcoming and you get a drink ticket for the bar with your reservation, which is a nice touch. However, the best thing about the Moxy Portland is the staff. I called the Moxy the day before and spoke to Rachel to explain my flight was an early one and if I could get an early check in. She said she would be there when I arrived and it shouldn’t be a problem. I arrived about noon and was accommodated and Rachel was so helpful. The room provided me everything I need for an overnight stay. I appreciate the steamer in lieu of an iron. There is a Target directly across the street, which is convenient if you forget anything. There was a noise cancellation device and ear plugs. I got the feeling it might normally be loud, but the noise levels were perfectly fine, even for NYE! I checked out at 3:45am and Michael was at the ready. My heart went out to him because he had to deal with the NYE aftermath. He was so cool when I checked out so early. We talked until my Uber arrived and his kindness as well as Rachel’s stuck in my head. It is obvious that the Moxy hires people who look out for their customers. I will definitely consider the Moxy in the future. I am normally a traditionalist when it comes to hotels, but fun and funky is sometimes a great diversion from the norm.…
Chris was extremely helpful and makes incredible drinks. He went out of his way to help me out with food and event suggestions - I’m navigating the city solo, so it was very, very appreciated! Overall, the staff here were very friendly and approachable.
Hello. I am writing about my recent stay at the Moxy Portland Downtown. I felt welcomed before I even arrived. I called ahead to confirm my stay details and Rachael answered the phone. It was love and fun from our first conversation. Fortunately, she was at the front desk for my arrival. The exceptional service continued. She blocked a wonderful room for me (top floor; amazing view) and there were a few personal "gifts" for me in my room. What a great start to my Portland trip. THANK YOU RACHAEL! Additionally, I would like to thank and recognize Chris, Conan and Megan (sp?) down in the lobby bar. They, too, were fun, helpful and gracious. They put in good spirits for the holidays ... in more ways than one. What a team! THANK YOU CHRIS, CONAN and MEGAN. I look forward to my next stay. CHEERS and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!…
Moxy was super fun! The bartenders are super friendly and took care of us when we visited. Food from the lobby is also really great…food carts!!! The rooms are cozy and unique, and the sound machines were actually really great. 10/10 stay here. Really appreciate Elliott, Ashlee, and the rest of the crew taking such good care of me.
