My and wife were having a lovely experience over in America until we meet joe brook he was absolute stoned out of his mind and he told me to drink a Stella and beat the mrs over and over which I found to be very disrespectful and rude then he told me to play this game call wifu impact which I then searched up and I found out it was a game that u would play if u like kids along with this game called genjen impact. Mr joe brook also had a brother called Freddy who was very bold boy and I could often here him screaming in the middle of the night screaming no father finngan is coming to get then I heard Freddy get beaten up by joe for the next half an hour and he then said no more wifu impact for a week which then Freddy wanted to play with mr Ty dmaico (this is the person he must play the game wifu impact is) my trip was great apart from my next door neighbour joe brook

The kindest proprietors - small family owned = consideration to the customer is a priority. Even during COVID and an unexpected snow storm, they went above and beyond. It is a budget hotel so don’t expect luxurious items, but if you want clean, a very comfortable bed, a real coffee maker (that was the best), great water pressure, and a safe neighborhood, this is it. Pluses: walking distance to great markets (New Seasons and Fred Meyer), terrific coffee house (Arbor Lodge Roasters), directly across the street public transportation (get the Transit app and purchase a Hop pass across the street or get the Hop app), walking distance to quaint downtown, post office, and small restaurants, wonderful staff, insulated windows kept a below thirty degree weather at bay Minuses: WiFi didn’t always work on my phone but did on other devices - they worked hard to do all they could to make it work

Better not have any friends in town. Because if you do and they stop by you will be kicked to the curb. told to vacate because had to many friends stopping by. After being here for 3 years for work. Won’t stay here again

Room was clean, bed was comfortable, friendly service, price affordable. Nothing fancy, no breakfast with room. The room could use a few repairs and maintenance (chip in tub, cracked toilet lid, plugs wouldn’t stay in some worn electrical outlets). A good value!

We stayed here for three nights during our recent trip through Oregon. A very nice surprise; conveniently located, clean comfortable room and excellent hostess. Will definitely recommend and stay again.

I was in Portland only 1 night to see a concert so I wanted something cheap and clean. This place fits that bill. The front desk was pleasant, the room had a refrig and air conditioning and the bed was comfortable. VERY basic free breakfast so I didn't bother but if you're looking for a friendly, no frills place to stay a night or 2, this would be good for you. :)

Stayed at the Viking Motel when I was in Portland for the Grand Prix on Labor Day weekend. Like other reviewers, I was impressed. They let me check in early. The room was large and more importantly clean. It was so handy to have the Yellow Max Line stop right out front. About 35 minute train ride to the airport and 10 minutes to downtown. There are plenty of great places to eat close by. A huge grocery store is within walking distance.

I flew into Portland to attend the IndyCar races over the Labor Day weekend at Portland International Raceway. I had decided to try doing without a rental car on this trip and to use Portland's "MAX" Light Rail System instead. With just one transfer I was able to go from the airport to less than 100 yards from the Viking Motel. My room was squeeky clean, and well-equipped. It had a decent-size refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee maker, Xfinity TV with a wide variety of channels, solid wi-fi that worked 100% of the time, and quality linens on the bed. The Viking is located closed to restaurants, a convenience store, and high-end market. More groceries, restaurants, etc. are a short MAX ride away. I also used the MAX to get to other attractions in downtown Portland. Plus, it was just about a 12-minute ride from the track, which allowed me to beat the high-cost parking and traffic jams there. It was only a 1/10 mile walk from the MAX station to the track's main gate. So, I'll definitely be staying at the Viking for any future visits to PIR. I'll probably even use it for other trips to this area. Highly recommended!!!!!!!!

If you’re looking for fancy, this is not it, BUT if you are looking for a wonderful value and hospitality, you are at the right place. The motel was clean and the staff and owners were so friendly and helpful. No breakfast , but for the value and convenience of being able to use the convenient Tri Met rail service to get into the city, My husband and I were pleased. Thank you to the Patel’s....

We stayed here for two nights while visiting Portland. The management was friendly and gave us a map of the Columbia River Gorge area. We had our own car, but this hotel is right next to public transportation. Even with the rail being right across the street, we did not hear the noise while sleeping at night. We had a bedroom with 3 beds and a divider wall so my kids enjoyed having their own beds for a couple nights. There was also a refrigerator for keeping items cold. This is an older hotel but was clean and comfortable with a vintage feel. They also have a laundry room if needed during your stay.
