Wonderful stay and very friendly and accommodating staff. Room was lovely, well-appointed, with everything one needs while traveling. Also impeccably clean. Lovely common areas. Adjacent restaurant has limited menu, but the hotel is located in the Pearl District with lots of restaurants. My first time to Portland and it was in a very good location for sightseeing and extremely easy to get around.

Hotel's Favourite
First I want to say, while Pearl district is not downtown, this hotel is several blocks away from the downtown area. It doesn’t have the boarded up windows that’s afflicting downtown area (from last year’s riots) but has its share of homelessness. For the most part it doesn’t seem to be a safety concern for the hotel but you can go couple blocks, especially east and it feels a bit different. So for street parking, stick to the west and south and while we were there for Memorial Day weekend, we strangely had great luck and always found parking on the street of the hotel (I know this was a pain point for many previous reviews). For the hotel itself, it doesn’t have a grand lobby but it’s a nice 4 star hotel with a very nice restaurant and common gathering area. The mask policy and social distancing with elevators was practiced along with contactless check-in and check-out. There was even the seal of “cleanliness” for each room upon check-in, which was a nice assurance. The room was spacious with plenty of area for storing your luggage and clothes. The safe in the room was large enough to fit 2 full laptops plus more, along with fridge and a coffee/tea station. The rooms were clean and beds very comfortable, along with a nicely lit bathroom and walk-in shower. The sole window in the room only covered half the wall but enough to get good natural light with automated blinds. The hotel also provides a water dispenser which was a nice convenience to fill up all our water bottles on the way out every day. And of course, this is on top of the great customer service, answering our questions about nearby sights and helping with extra sheets, etc.

Hey flyboyarl, Thank you so much for your detailed review of your experience. I'm glad you pointed out our location. We're ideally located in the Pearl district, away from the downtown core which has been impacted over the past year. I appreciate your time in sharing your thoughts with others. I hope to welcome you back in the near future. Positively yours, Paul

I'm planning an event at the hotel and I have been amazed and delighted by the elevated customer service experience provided by Joel Carr and Klint Kolbu. They have been so accessible, attentive, kind, competent, detail-oriented and helpful! In an era where it can feel impossible to even get a human being on the phone, they have truly made me so grateful to have chosen this venue. Highly recommend!

The rooms are very nice, quiet, and clean. If I were just reviewing the rooms, I'd give the hotel five stars. However, the restaurant gets one star, so I'm going to average them and give it three stars. The problem with the restaurant is breakfast. First, there is no buffet. Most hotels in this price range (not cheap) have buffet breakfasts. This one doesn't. It loses a star for that. So what you have is a menu that is ONLY available by scanning a QR code. If you don't happen to bring a phone to breakfast, you are out of luck. There goes another star. If you do have a phone, you can get the menu on it. It is mostly a simple continental breakfast, with rolls, yogurt, etc. Only instead of unlimited food for one price, you have to pay for each item separately. So if you want three of the (very small) containers of yogurt, that is $12 please. Most of the individual, items are about $4. Kind of pricey. There goes another star, At 8 a.m. about half the items were SOLD OUT! A chain as big as Hilton ought to have better logistics. They should know how many cinnamon buns they sell every day and have enough in stock to last at least past 8 a.m. Being sold out on many items at 8 a.m. is completely inexcusable. There goes another star. Finally, the $4 muffin I had was stale. It certainly wasn't baked that day. Probably a few days old. Poof, there goes another star. In short, a really, really, crummy restaurant. Avoid. The problem is that there aren't many breakfast restaurants nearby, so maybe avoid the hotel altogether.

The room is comfortable and well stocked. The location is great for downtown strolling on the waterfront. I did feel it was overpriced at $400+ per night. I would stay again however. We were in the room for two days and no service was provided.

It's rare that you can find any new hotel properties that are as polished as this one. Being that it's a Hilton property I had a baseline expectation for usual staff that hovered around friendly and charming at best. What my partner and I experienced however was something neither of us had ever experienced before at any hotel... Extremely great hospitality and service. This is some of the warmest and kind hotel front desk staff you could ever dream of interacting with. Drew has raised my bar of what good hospitality is to an ineffable level. I can only imagine others that are staffed here are also enabled to provide similar levels of care to the guests at their hotel. Plus the rooms were comfortable, clean, and spacious. Instead of offering bottled water they use glass bottles that you can fill up in water bottle fountains. Super great idea. The drinking water there is delicious. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

Five Star !! The hotel and staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was special. Justice and Niko welcomed us at the front desk and Marrissa, Drew and Rachel made sure our restaurant / lounge experience was memorable and the pizza was fabulous. We will never stay anywhere else in Portland and would highly suggest booking ASAP. The hotel was also able to accommodate corporate meetings. The Hotel had boutique design, walking distance to cafe's, bakery's, restaurant and just a short walk to/from the train station. The lobby had games to keep you busy for late night fun, and even had a giant jenga. The room was gorgeous, complete with a mini coffee bar and views for days. Everyone was incredibly helpful and full of insight for the Portland experience.

This was my first visit to Portland and I’m convinced it’s the best city ever—an opinion greatly influenced by where I stayed. The hotel is absolutely beautiful with every desired amenity and luxury. The staff was perfection—kind, funny, knowledgeable and just wonderful all around. I’ll stay there every time I visit.

Justice and Ren at the front desk made my trip a breeze! I was travelling for an interview and had questions about the hotel ahead of time, and talking to Justice on the phone put my worries at ease. Ren made checking in and out super easy and gave me a great orientation to the hotel. Throughout my stay they both gave great tips on navigating the area. The room was clean and comfortable, and pretty quiet. I loved having the option to sign into my own Netflix account on the tv. Overall great stay!

Pleasant stay in the Pearl district. The hotel staff are excellent, very friendly and helpful. Room was clean although there were a few old stains on the carpet. It's also cement/stone flooring which can be a bit uncomfortable and cold walking on barefoot, as only the area around the bed has carpeting. Otherwise the room itself is fine. Comfortable mattress, clean bathroom, and shower with good water pressure. The area itself is fairly quiet at night. The walls in the hotel are quite thin although we had respectful neighbors and didn't have any trouble sleeping. During the day when we happened to have a later morning in the room, we could hear conversations and TV on next door, though, so if you have less considerate guests next door, you might have issues. The elevator bell is also pretty loud (the staff at the front desk did warn us before assigning us to a room across from the elevator). We were OK sleeping with ear plugs, but if you are sensitive to this kind of noise, you should definitely request a room down the hall from the elevator. The daily credit for Diamond members is $15pp and breakfast is much better than lunch at the attached Vaux restaurant. Easily walkable to all the areas of the Pearl district, Center City, Chinatown, and the Northwest district. The homeless and vagrant population in the city has blossomed quite a bit during the pandemic apparently; I wouldn't recommend walking around at night by yourself. Nothing the hotel itself can control, but something to keep in mind. The hotel lobby is accessible only by keycard at all times, for example.
