Had to wait 25 minutes to check in because the front desk staff also run the shuttle. Not the employees fault. Just a long time to wait. Parking is not included. Web site was nit clear about this. Rooms smell a little musty. Breakfast doesn’t start till six so if you have a early flight you are out of luck

Hotel's Favourite
Two queen beds with desk, sofa, hassock, small refrigerator with freezer, microwave, ironing board & iron, two phones. Breakfast had scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, oatmeal, cold cereal, yogurt, bagels, English muffins, bread, juice and coffee. Attendant kept area clean and supplied, wore mask. There was some plumbing noise when the above room was showering. Lobby had computer and printer available. Free shuttle service to the nearby airport. (Never heard plane noise.)

Hotel close to the Portland Airport offers shuttle bus service to the airport. Rooms close to the highway can be noisy. Well used carpeted steps from the lobby to the second floor could use a good cleaning. Desk chair with imitation leather covering was badly worn. The shower curtains had tears along the top edge. Breakfast was fine and front desk staff were helpful. A good value, even with its warts.

Once again, glad we ignored bad reviews especially if it was due to someone being unhappy about the service or had a unpleasant experience. Took a chance and booked two rooms for four nights. Pleasantly surprised hotel was nice looking from the outside to the inside. Front entrance, you’re greeted with this large beautiful chandelier and lots of seating for the breakfast buffet (yes it’s included). Rooms are larger than some we’ve stayed at (airport hotels) and were all very clean and modern. Both rooms were King beds and also included a sofa bed. I believe they all do hence “comfort suites” is their name. Bathroom was good with nice large counter space. There’s a fridge/freezer combo, microwave and coffee maker. The best part is complimentary HOT breakfast with bacon and scrambled eggs. They changed it up to sausage patties and omelette with cheese on one of the days. Prefer the bacon and scrambled eggs. There are plenty of other options such as the make-it-yourself waffles, cereal, yogurt, fruits, bagels, toast, juice and of course a coffee station. Nice overall and can’t be beat for the price. All the hotels on this same street were all nice looking on the outside too but I think this one was priced best. Definitely recommend whether in town for family or business trip.

Terribly noisy room. Guests above me went to bed at 11:45 PM and awoke at 3 AM and stayed awake the rest of the morning, so I got 3 hours of sleep. I requested a top floor upon check in and the receptionist made it seem like that was what I would get, but it wasn’t. When I complained to another lady later that night, she told me they did have top floor rooms, but I would have had to request it upon check in ! I was finally given another room the next day but only after being told I might have to wait until the late afternoon. The pool and hot tub were non functional over a period of 9 days. They held an Ethiopian wedding reception one day in the tiny meeting room. There were about a 100 people too many and one couldn’t walk the hallway to the rooms or stand in the lobby. I stayed at this hotel because a tour I was on used it for part of the tour. One of the receptionists, Michael, was seen by many people helping himself to the catered food that was for our group. I wanted to get some more chicken but there was none. I stayed an extra day at the hotel beyond the tour and the last day all of my luggage was taken- Money, clothes, passport, electronics, further trip itinerary, all gone. I figured the hotel had to have it but the receptionist Ricky told me he had no idea where it was. This frightened me. When I went down to the desk, he deduced that I had checked out earlier in the morning. Yet I had just spoken an hour earlier to the other receptionist, Michael, when he recoded my room keycard me, and he told me that they had me down as staying another day. Then because I raised my voice, they said they would not help me. I knew they likely had my luggage. Michael said he didn’t care, so I called the Portland police; but due to “high call volume,” they did not answer after 30 minutes. I had also called my prior tour guide who answered first and helped me contact the hotel manager. The manage (Muncie) was upset she had to come in from home. She was unapologetic and said I shouldn’t raise my voice and that the guys were really busy (with the overly crowded Ethiopian wedding). I don’t believe that allows them to abandon me and confiscate my belongings. The luggage Ricky couldn’t seem to locate was ten feet away in a locked room. Very immature. I never used one word of profanity with them. I wonder what would happen if they had to deal with someone malicious. Choice Hotels did give me somewhat of an apology but in very broken English maybe from service desk in another country. Also Portland is very dangerous. Drug users/homeless everywhere. Young man almost popped me in the face when I was looking at the map on my iPhone. Even Washington park beyond the Rose test garden is dangerous. What a shame !

We came in late to PDX after numerous flight delays and because we still had several hours to drive home, we decided to stay overnight. There were 4 in our group, two adults and two children. We drove to this hotel and I walked in. The woman at the counter asked if I was checking in and I told her I was, if she had a room for us. She immediately changed her demeanor and abruptly said that they don't take check-ins after midnight. So we left and went to a neighboring hotel (Best Western) who was more than happy to accommodate us. Before writing this review, I called and spoke with the Manager, Joe, to tell him what happened. He told me that this is their policy. I told him that since they were an airport hotel, accommodating weary travelers is part of what they are there for. He said it was for "security reasons", but the other hotel was nearby and I'm sure has similar security issues. In any case, Comfort Suites at PDX is one hotel I will never stay at again, and if you arrive late, don't expect to be able to get a room. Look elsewhere.

I stayed at this location on two different occasions in June. For my first stay, upon arriving at PDX, I called the shuttle and it arriving promptly. Although my flight arrived before noon, they had a room ready for me when I got there. I found the hotel clean and they had friendly and helpful service. My room was clean, large, and the special requests I had were honored. Breakfast was good and had a variety including warm items. I found 4 different restaurants nearby and within walking distance. I got the same kind of excellent service on my second stay. I arrived early once again and the gentlemen at the front desk went out of his way to provide me a room. I made an appointment for a shuttle the next day and once again, it was right on time. Couldn’t ask for better service and I will definitely stay at this location in the future.

Staff was exceptionally helpful, going out of their way to find us when we time-zoned and breakfasted beyond our scheduled airport run. All staff we interacted with were kind and helpful from cleaning staff, desk clerks, van driver, and breakfast workers. Food was good and coffee quite good. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. We had stayed in another Comfort Inn and Suites in Klamath Falls on this trip and the difference in rooms, staff and food was like night and day. We would stay here again. Would give 5 stars if food were a little better, but it was fine for what it is.

We stayed for one night at this hotel so we could go to a trailblazers game. Diana at the front desk was wonderfully kind and helpful. She even gave us a ride to the transit stop and then back again after the game which I very much appreciated. The room was quite spacious and the sheets were very soft. I thought the free provided breakfast was great. The area felt safe with one of my biggest concern is staying in Portland as per Dino‘s advice I would highly recommend taking the LRT to the game if in town for the trailblazers it saves it’s a lot of headache over parking and it’s literally eight minutes from the hotel.
