Photos speak for themselves. This is NOT a luxury hotel. Centrally located restaurant club keeps guests awake all night. No fridge or coffee maker in room. Had to request a mini fridge. They brought a scratched dented smelling of sour milk one! Non working appliances. Smh Don't waste your money!
The Nines Hotel is a very luxurious hotel with unique art pieces that you will see throughout the hotel. When you walk in The Nines hotel, on the first floor, you will see valet check-in and then from there, you will get directions on where/how to park your car at the property. From there, they will ask you to go up to the 8th floor and that is where the lobby is. The Nines has 331 rooms with 9 stories (why it’s called The Nines hotel) and serval meeting/ballrooms. This hotel also features a nice living room behind the front desk where you can relax at and there is a bright sky light that has very nice soft lighting. There is also a library and a barrel room on the same floor as the lobby however, it is only reserved for meeting spaces. The amenities of the hotel are free coffee and tea daily at the lobby but if you want them to bring it up to your room, you can request that (there is no coffee nor tea maker at your room). There is also a 24-hour fitness room, a rooftop patio on the 15th floor (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays), 24 hour room service, complimentary Wi-Fi, laundry service, daily housekeeping, and is pet-friendly (please read the terms on their website on more about pets). On the 12th floor, there is also a club room, however that is closed for now until next year. The hotel has two restaurant: one of them is Urban Farmer which is open from 7am-2pm and 5-11pm everyday and Departure which is open from 4-11pm and closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Both of them are very beautiful and upscale restaurants that you must check out! When I first walked in, this guest room was very beautiful. There was a bathrobe, slippers, and there was also a champagne/wine bottle with snacks in the room as well (but you will need to pay a fee if you decided to eat their snacks and drinks. There is also a fridge to store food and a safe as well to lock your belongings but there is no microwave. The coffee/tea maker will be on the 8th floor as there is none in your room however at any time or day, you can request room service to bring it up to you in your room so you don’t need to go down. I saw some unique architecture as well carried on from the lobby. The lamps were very quirky, the wallpaper had a nice design, and I saw a pretty light fixure on the corner of my room. The bathroom was also a very nice large size comapred to other hotels. They provided with you shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel in the shower. There are also clean towels and a hair dryer as well in the bathroom. The only thing about the bathroom was that the floors were very cold so you would need to wear slippers or shoes since there are no heated floors. You get that nice, artistic, and luxurious feel with pops of blue and it’s a bougie vibe to feel. My view was very nice because it overlooked Downtown Portland with many buildings and had a nice city vibe when you look outside. There was a concert that is going on in Pioneer Courthouse Square so you can hear the concert going on since the hotel is next to the square however, you should still get a goodnight sleep since the concert doesn’t go all night. It’s just during the afternoon/early evening. There is a bit of noise since you are in the Downtown Area however, it wasn’t super loud and I still slept well. If you are going to stay at The Nines, be careful around that area because there are some sketchy people roaming the area however, it wasn’t too bad when I stayed there. Just always be aware of your surroundings and be careful. Overall, this hotel has been an amazing, luxurious, glamours, and artist hotel that is relaxing, eye-popping, and extravagant! Very clean hotel with the sweetest staff at the hotel and it makes you feel you are living the lux life! I think the biggest selling point about the hotel is that 15th floor rooftop patio where it overlooks Portland, OR. It’s such a nice place to hangout and there are cozy fire pits for you to get comfortable at too plus a bar area for drinks. Huge shoutout to Cruz who took me on the hotel tour, Anandi for checking me in and out of the hotel, and Joseph who checked up on me during my visit! These people are amazing and can help you out whenever you are at The Nines Hotel! Want a luxurious stay during your visit to Portland, make sure you book with The Nines Hotel!…
Great rooms and cool vibe. Really nice service professionals and very very clean room. I was here for a conference and had a great time. Unique design internally and really close to downtown good spots. They’ve turned an older building into something unique and beautiful.
Paul was an amazing Bellman with prompt and excellent customer service. Jason was great as well. The attention at the Nines is always exemplary. Looking forward to my next trip to Portland and the Nines.
Thank you NICK AND SANTOS for helping us with our luggage and valet during our last day of the stay. Very friendly and helpful. Great staff overall. Would stay here again next time. The front desk was also very helpful the lady with the English accent
Sometimes you just need a staycation away from the child and the Nines was my home away from home for the night. I’m so thankful for Tricia (and the lovely, Welsh, I’m assuming supervisor) at the front desk being more than accommodating and giving this mom and friend a very nice place to veg out. She was friendly and warm and a great person to be one of our first employee encounters at the hotel. Special shout out to the valet who noticed I left my phone in the car and ran it up to me at the check in desk. I wish I had gotten his name but he was in and out so quickly. We had a lovely stay. Thank you!
Tyler was incredibly helpful so was everyone at the hotel. Room requests were fast and thoughtful. Highly recommend the experience here. Make sure to make reservations at hotel restaurants if you plan to eat on property because they get busy.
Excellent and stylish hotel in downtown Portland very close to Pioneer Square. Beautiful, modern and comfortable rooms, large bathroom, Very good, contemporary restaurant (Urban Farmer) in the hotel. The staff at the Reception and at the Concierge were particularly friendly and helpful.
We are here for the Portland Film festival and we’re greeted upon check-in in the warmest and friendliest way by Tyler and Grace. They made us feel welcome and answered all of our questions with a smile! The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are comfortable and clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Portland!
We had a great experience staying at the Nines. The room was clean, comfortable and stylish. Tyler at the front desk was exceptional and went above and beyond to accommodate us. We will be staying again!
