Nice variety of hot and cold continental breakfast options. Couple of minor issues: friendliness of reception could be better, exposed wires in my 1 bed room, adding another little waste bin near desk would be preferred, carpet was damp for some reason and felt gross on my bare feet.

I can't believe that I'd ever be writing a negative review about bed bugs, but I have no choice. I am usually fine with Ramada Inns, and they've been fair stays in the past for me. This one was close to family, so I booked two nights. Check-in was fine (front desk guy was nice), parking was okay, and everything looked good. The room itself was pretty basic and showed signs of lack of repair, but it was tolerable. TV had maybe two channels that worked; the rest wouldn't come in at all (they apparently depend on a roof-mounted over the air antenna for the whole hotel). Wifi worked and was free. Room came with a fridge and microwave. Shower and bathroom were rundown, but usable. I turned off the lights, went to bed, and woke up about 30 minutes later itching my neck. Turned on the light and saw at least 10 bugs on the bed, and one on my shoulder. Could not believe it! I have never had problems with bed bugs in all my years. I shook myself out and then just stared in disbelief trying to figure out what to do. Literally saw blood stains on the sheets in a couple places where they were eating me alive. After a couple of minutes of seeing how many bugs there were (see pictures), I packed up my stuff and went downstairs and demanded a full refund. Clerk said he needed manager approval first (I said I'd wait while he got it), wanted a copy of the pics (which I showed him), and then said he needed to check the room himself. He did, and came back and apologized. The charge was refunded, and I headed out to find anything else nearby at 2am. NEVER stay here. Honestly, I am shocked that this place hasn't been shut down by the health department, given some of the other reviews here. Why Ramada allows this place to remain open is beyond me. It's truly terrible. Lest anyone doubt me, I have many pictures and videos of them crawling on my bed and pillows, and I'm happy to provide proof if you contact me.

Dirty Sheets cont……Not only was our bed dirty, the room was in disrepair and neglected!! Probably not cleaned between guests either. The carpet was worn out, rust on bathroom fixtures, scratches on the bathroom door, a ripped bathroom tub mat, mold in the shower tile grout, and the list goes on (see pics). Do yourself a favor and stay away.

Despite this being a non-smoking motel, the air conditioning unit stank of cigarettes and body odor. The filters have probably never been cleaned. There were cigarette burn marks around the sink. The carpet was very old and dirty. Two fist shaped indentations in the bathroom door gave the room a creepy vibe.

Opened the bed immediately at entering our room. To our shock and horror we found human hair in the bed, stained and thread bare sheets (see pics). The bed had obviously been slept in and the linen was not changed by housekeeping after the previous guests checked out. I headed to the front desk to let them know about the unacceptable condition of the bed in our room. I calmly explained what we had found and I asked to please have housekeeping change our bed. I was told that there was no housekeeping until the next day (it was 5:15pm). I then again calmly told the front desk clerk that the problem needed to be resolved. The front desk clerk told me, “you need to stop talking to me like that.” His solution was to change to a room on a lower level (FYI we wanted a top floor room and they had no other top floor rooms) but we had already unpacked. I left the desk frustrated. We then visited the front desk again, he tried to argue without even asking how he could help. I had to stop the clerk from trying to make excuses and just get him to help. I communicated to him if he could just get us clean bed linens we could change the bed our selves. Only then did he provide clean bed linens. His behavior and attitude were unacceptable as well as the housekeeping and bed linens, the same.

I recently stayed at this hotel. Reviews made me a little nervous as they ran the spectrum. I am a woman traveling alone. I was pleasantly surprised by the location. I was accessing northeast Portland and very easily got around. The rooms were large. Internet was excellent. They have the best big fluffy bath towels. I had no problems with personal safety nor safety for my vehicle. Cost was exceedingly reasonable!

The good: only 1 mile from Adventist Health hospital where husband having surgery. Easy access from I-205 and to and from hospital. Included was an average to good hot breakfast in a well cleaned, pleasant area. Our room was first floor, non-smoking (supposedly). Comfortable bed. The bad: I reserved a Mobility Accessible King (non-smoking) room. It was the most distant room from the reservation desk, which is where the only entrance is. It would make more sense to put the Mobility Accessible room less distant than other rooms. The hallway, which was a long walk, had multiple areas where the flooring was uneven. Furthermore, for a non-smoking area the halfway down the long corridors the halls began to smell strongly of smoke. In the room, the shower in the bathroom had no ledge or recess of any kind to hold a bar of soap or shampoo in or even outside near the shower. The only option was to hold the soap throughout the shower or drop it on floor outside of shower. Really??? And the hot tub was empty and therefore not open, the exercise room appeared to be closed. The ugly: The room had NO handrail next to the toilet. Unacceptable for a mobility accessible room. Similarly, the only non-desk chair was an upholstered chair, with a low seat and NO arms. Again, not a wise choice for a mobility accessible room. The room, although it is called non-smoking, reeked of cigarette smoke which the hotel seemed to try to mask with some type of scent or spray. The smoke smell seemed to become worse while the A/C ran, but was unbelievably strong regardless. There was no carpeting in the room from which the smell could be emanating, and only 1 upholstered chair. It was terrible. Even the service was poor. When I returned after 9pm from the hospital, I discovered the cleaners had removed my dirty towels, but not replaced them. I call the front desk. It took 3 tries to get an answer, requested replacement towels and was told I had to walk back to reception to get them, no one could bring them to me. I was very surprised and disappointed. I have stayed with Ramada in the past and have never had such a bad stay.

Stayed here when I arrived in Portland area late on a Thursday night. Had no real issues with the hotel or room. In fact I felt comfortable enough with the room to stay again when I returned to Portland on Saturday. That was a huge mistake. The AC was gimpy at best. Then after showering and settling in I realized the toilet didn't flush. Could tinker with it some, but had to do that every time it was used. When I told the front desk, my complaint was met with humor. He knew the problem right away, confirming that was a known issue, but just shrugged when asked why it was rented when the most basic function wasn't working. No apology. No discount. No nothing to make me feel better about the hotel.
