We have stayed at this hotel before and it was a really good experience. This time, at our check in time we we told the restaurant was closed , no breakfast included and the pool was also closed. The room was clean but needed to be updated. The door needs to be adjusted to close properly. The room charge was similar to the area hotels. There was also a resort fee of $20.00 A lot of places charge that but in this case we were not getting the resort amenities they advertised on their website. Next time we stop to visit our friends in Pendleton we will chose a different hotel.

We appreciate you taking the time to leave us feedback. We are delighted to know that the cleanliness of your accommodations was a plus during your stay as our team works diligently to ensure all rooms are cleaned and prepared for future guests. We always want to be transparent with our guests, and we do list on our website that our pool, hot tub, lounge, and restaurant are currently closed for health and safety precautions. That said, if you would like to reach out to us offline to discuss any room charges, we would be more than happy to assist. Thank you for staying with us, and we hope you'll come back for a better experience.

We had been booked at a previous hotel, but after a horrible experience, Cheryl at Red Lion saved our last night of vacation. Earlier, before we had even checked in, she helped me find a place for my daughters to swim when all the hotel pools were shut down. After having to leave a previous hotel, I knew I wanted to give Red Lion our business because of Cheryl and all her help. Thank you for rescuing our vacation!

The bed was comfortable and it was clean. However, everything is closed like the pool and the free breakfast because of lack of people. Not their fault but they should let you know you aren't getting those things. Very overpriced for what you get. Also they put us downstairs and no elevator. Hard with luggage. I wouldn't recommend it.

We use this hotel 4-5 times a year as we visit family in Idaho. Our route makes Boardman to Pendleton a good place to stay a nite. This Sleep Inn is wonderful . Clean , very new looking yet it’s been open a few years. Big , bright rooms. The staff is always helpful. Continental breakfast is super (variety ,quality). I would like to get to Pendleton on our trips but in past 18 months , nice hotels in Pendleton have Really High rates. This Sleep Inn is always 20-40 .00 less. Not a lot of dinner food options in Boardman .

First room they gave me the tv didn’t work. Replacement room didn’t have a good heating system, just an outdated baseboard type. A fabric chair was against it when I came into the room. Having the chair against this is a fire hazard. The cards that open the doors don’t work well. You have to try it many times to open.

We have stayed here before while following our niece play in soccer tournaments. The location is good and the view of the valley is pretty, Haven't been here since COVID hit and not sure if anyone else has been here either. The place needs updating ie: carpets in room are seriously stained, the deck needed thorough cleaning and maintenance including the broken sliding door that would hardly open and was a safety hazard as it easily could have fallen off the track. Most of the furniture in our room was damaged, scratched and dented. There was dirt stuck in all corners of the bathroom and the toilet seat was lose, my husband almost fell off. The fixtures were water stained as were the tub shelves. This is nothing that couldn't be fixed fairly easily. This place is not up to the standards that we expect especially during a pandemic. The sign on the door says masks are required however they did not enforce the policy therefore nobody (except us) wore masks including the staff. No coffee maker in the room and there is no complimentary breakfast offered. There is coffee in the lobby during morning hours. There is a restaurant that has varied hours (they didn't include breakfast when we were there on a Sunday morning), the salad and wings we had for dinner were tasty. We give this property a three star because there is a restaurant on the premise.

I’m not sure where to even start....I travel here yearly for business and spend a week at the Red Lion. This trip started off with booking my reservation and being told that an entire wing was without AC and the restaurant would be closed. (The other hotels up the road, all have their restaurants open for business). I should have changed hotels then but I have always enjoyed this particular hotel with the great outdoor pool and view. Once I checked in, only then was I informed the pool was shut down indefinitely. Upon entering my room and going out to the balcony to enjoy the view, I was lucky not to fall through the rotten, wooden guardrails. This place is SO RUN DOWN! Save your money and stay at the Best Western up the road. On top of that, my 1 year old grandson had an ear infection and understandably not happy. I was told by the front desk that if I couldn’t get him to settle down, I would be asked to leave!!! I tried explaining that he wasn’t felling well and she said ‘this is your first warning’. Like I was throwing a raging party! My grandson is not feeling well! With ALL that being said, I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!

Thank you for being a loyal Red Lion Hotel Pendleton guest. I am sorry to say that during the pandemic that we were not able to have our hotel up and running to it's full potential amenities with Restaurant/Lounge, Pool and Hot Tub closures. We currently are in COVID recovery and are slowly trying to bring back those for our guest to enjoy as soon as possible. I am sorry your grandson was not feeling well and hope that he is better now. Thank you for letting us know and for your comments.

Staying in any hotel during the pandemic can be fraught with troubles. The best way to handle the troubles is with a smile, and the people at the Red Lion handled things very well, with many smiles...you could tell they were smiling, even through a mask. The stay was also compounded by thick, heavy smoke from Oregon wildfires. Despite these factors, our stay was nice, even though the property could use some sprucing up, The grounds are not particularly well maintained, and there were little signs of neglect...tiles missing in the shower, and some pretty worn carpet. Of course the restaurant was closed, and no breakfast, but there was coffee offered at the front desk. The fixture in the shower made temperature control difficult. The room itself was comfortable and a good size. There was a fridge and microwave, but no coffee maker. Ice was available in a machine. It's kind of funny how the hotels we stayed at on this trip interpreted what they thought contributed to the spread of the virus and what didn't. Apparently ice machines were OK in some properties. Other places we stayed on this trip thought they were not. All in all, not a bad place for such a small town; and the price we paid was reasonable.

My friend and I had booked this hotel as a stop on our way home from Grand Teton National Park to Portland, Oregon with our boys. Her son woke up that morning not feeling well but we were in an area where we didn't have reception to call the hotel. By the time we were in an area to make the call her son had a 103 fever so we decided it would be best to not expose anyone at the hotel given the pandemic we're in and drive the 13 hours straight home. They refused to refund our money stating it was less than 24-hours notice. This leads me to believe that this hotel is not following COVID-19 rules and I sure wouldn't want to stay there knowing they were okay with a possibly infected person staying there.
