We arrived in Pendleton on Saturday without reservations. We called the hotel that we usually stay at and they were all booked because of an event going on in town and advised that everyone else was probably booked as well. I called Motel 6 and they said they had a room available so I reserved it. Upon arrival at the reservation desk we were advised that there was not a microwave or refrigerator in the room that they had reserved for us, so I asked if there was a room available with a fridge and microwave and she said yes and switched rooms for us. We found our room way around in the back of the building. Upon entry it looked ok but as we walked through we found the counters dirty with hair and even a clipped fingernail. We began wiping down all the surfaces with the sanitizing wipes that we happened to have in our car since COVID. We then noticed that the floors were dirty and the corners had not seen any attention in a while. I went to the office and asked to have someone clean the floors. The gal at check-in sent a gal in with a damp mop and she basically just made a quick swipe through, shoving the dirt further into the corners. She said we were lucky to catch her because she was about to go off shift but everything was all shiny now! We only stayed the night because 1) the bed linens and towels did surprisingly looked and smelled clean, and 2) there was probably no where else to stay the night without previous reservations and we didn’t want to drive all the way back home in the same day. We paid $134.00 for a queen bed for 2 adults. No amenities like shampoo, conditioner or lotion, no coffee in the room or the lobby, but we did get our microwave and fridge which both worked. We are content with simple and don’t need fancy, but we do expect clean, and this was not. Oh, and did I mention a few bugs? See photos.…
I realize that Motel 6 is a budget motel and that is exactly what we needed late at night - just a place to rest our head. Motel 6 is usually a good choice for such a stop. While things were ok- our room had a towel with a big hole in it, pen marks on the “clean” sheets, a towel rack falling off the wall, a dingy shower, a wiggly toilet and the hot/cold reversed in the shower.
I was travelling through Pendleton on March 18,2020. I booked this horror show through Booking.com. Although I wasn't expecting luxury, I was expexting cleanliness. They assigned me room 114. This was hands down the dirtiest, most disgusting hotel room I have ever seen. Rundown, damaged, filthy and bedbugs!!!! I will NEVER even consider a Motel 6 again. Got a refund and slept in the below freezing temperatures at a rest stop in preference to spending another minute in this room. The health department should close them down!!!!! I have also informed the Pendleton Chamber of Commerce and Motel 6 Corporate Office-Guest Relations. A file has been created!
Entryway was filthy, that should have been the first clue as to how the inside would be. Used the restroom, toilet had urine all over the seat, didn't realize it till I sat in it, soooo GROSS!!! I have never had such a disgusting experience at a hotel. Bathroom reeked of urine, there was hair, urine, and scum all over the floor, and tub/shower, and sink! The entire floor was disgustingly filthy, and the whole room stunk! Looks like all they did was change the towels. Went to the front desk and he offered to clean or give me a different room, I declined and asked for my money back. He tried to cancel the reservation but said the system would have let him do so 15 minutes earlier. So, I asked him to have the owner call me, never received a call, so I called back and spoke with Jessica (General Manager), she said she'd have the owner call me, and still have not received the courtesy of a phone call from them. They have charged my credit card $304 for a room that I did not stay in (ended up driving 150 miles back home that evening as there were no other hotels with vacancy). They obviously do not care about customer satisfaction, they only care about money and sticking it to the customer! If they had any business manner at all they would have given me the courtesy of a follow-up phone call and offered to give me my money back. CONSUMER BEWARE - STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION!!! The other Motel 6 in Pendleton is phenomenal, I will continue to stay there in the future, as they get it when it comes to "excellence in customer service," sorry to experience and say this location could care less!!!…
Very nice place in Pendleton! Worth the price and the deal that they give me. The coffee in the morning was very good and I wish I could have stayed a few more days. Thanks Jessica and the entire staff.
We were in room 103. Disgusting. Dirty floor, toilet bowl and one bed had bed bugs, see pics. If we hadn't arrived so late to just get a few hours sleep before continuing on we would have demanded a refund and moved on to find another hotel. Couldn't really anticipate the bed bugs as clean rooms can have them too. Seeing how dirty it was in the light of day would have been a clue as well. We arrived in the dark. This was a'room upgrade' according to the host from what we booked online! The parking area was full of garbage as well. We recommend you stay away!
I needed a motel for the night because my truck was in the shop for repairs. I'm glad I decided to stay here because the staff were outstanding ! The room was exceptionally clean, comfortable! I will definitely stay here again if I'm in the area and need a room!
Room was missing a blanket and when I pulled down the sheets they had hair on them and looked obviously been used. Floor was not mopped. No other rooms that was smoking available, but they did bring me a blanket and fresh sheets. Would not recommend.
The heating unit was so loud we couldn't sleep, even with ear plugs. Had to go to the office to get a blanket for the bed! Worst of all...the shower didn't work! The hose feeding the shower head was split open. They obviously knew if was busted because they had tried to tape it. The tape didn't work. Wasn't a great way to start the day.
We stopped here for the night. I requested a non-smoking room (this motel is not non-smoking). When I entered the room it stunk of smoke. There was a sign on the door indicating it was non-smoking. I had a headache the rest of the evening because of the smoke smell. I went back to the desk and requested and received a refund. I went to the other Motel 6 up the hill (and it was $20 cheaper).
