Cooper Spur Mountain Resort is a rustic mountain lodge and resort specializing in family vacations, weddings, retreats and group events. Located on the magnificent north side of Mt. Hood and set in the midst of the beautiful Mt. Hood National Forest, our lodge is surrounded by pine trees with views of three different mountain peaks; Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, and Mt. Rainier. Just 23 miles south of Hood River, Oregon, and 12 miles from Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Resort, Cooper Spur Mountain Resort is ideal for those seeking year- round mountain adventures. It's a quick and easy 90 minute drive from Portland, yet is secluded to allow guests to remove themselves from their stressful daily lives to enjoy the surrounding nature. Accommodations include lodge hotel rooms, lodge condos, cabins, and a 4-bedroom log home (perfect for large families or corporate retreats). The peeled log structures present a charm and elegance you would expect in this mountain environment. All units have woodburning fireplaces with the exception of our lodge hotel rooms. All of our units also have refrigerators so guests can bring along meals and snacks. The lodge condos and cabins have kitchenettes and the 4-bedroom log house has a fully-equipped kitchen; ideal for extended stays.

We stayed for the Christmas holiday and had a great time. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and we loved the proximity to the ski trails. On our last day we discovered the x-county ski trail the resort owns and had a great time. We appreciated the fresh ground coffee

Hello there- Thank you for staying with us at Cooper Spur, and thank you for taking the time to provide us with this thoughtful and detailed feedback! It’s greatly appreciated! Also, thank for the nice comments about the staff, we’ll be sure to pass it on to them. We do have resort brochures in our office, but maybe they need to be more front and center. I’m sorry to hear the website information wasn’t helpful, we do update it every day, but it seems something was missed. I’m glad you enjoyed the in-room coffee and the homemade pastries. We love our in-house baker, and will pass on the feedback about the stuffing to our Chef. We are also actually working on some in-room lighting upgrades this summer! We love our old lodge building, and we’re working to brighten it up. Again, thank you! We hope to see you again in the future. A very happy New Year to you and your family! Sincerely, Barbara Basham-

Thanks to Susan and all of the other people on the staff at the resort who out of their way to make our stay an enjoyable one, and to make it fun for our young son to be there. They don't make resorts like this anymore - what with the slightly-dated but still attractive

We rented the private log home for our family vacation. We had 7 adults, 2 teenagers, and 2 babies. The only thing that would have made this house better would be just one more bathroom, but that's only because there were 9 of us! The setting could not have been better ... the

Hello there- Thank you very much for staying with us! We appreiate your business and your feedback. We love our beautiful setting too! That is a bummer to hear about the continental breakfast! I'm really sorry, that should not have been your experience! Generally we recieve great feedback about the breakfast, but clearly that was not the case when you stopped in. Again we really appreciate you taking the time to provide us with this feedback, it will help us to improve. Hopefully you'll stay with us again, and give our breakfast one more try! Have a wonderful weekend!

Check in was easy and they had some games and a small selection of snacks/drinks/beer for sale in the office. My husband and I stayed in the lodge for a night in June. The room was spacious with a desk, small sitting area, mini fridge, coffee maker and even a wine fridge.
