This place has WWII history as a headquarters for the Coast Guard--check out the photo on the wall at The Sportsman. With weathered shake siding it is not a "colorful" place on first view, but all this just adds to the charm of this place at the Coast where the weather would soon take care of any paint that was...

Justin was very welcoming and full of information.... Not only are the rooms impeccably clean, it will be difficult not to steal the towels tomorrow when I take off!! An added bonus is the small yard area in the rear of the building with a picnic table, a BBQ, and a smoker💥💥💥

We were here overnight on our way south. The Surf n Sand Inn is a traditional motel, but very clean and peaceful. The rooms aren't huge, but just right for relaxing after a fun day exploring Oregon Coast. The bathroom is spacious. Everything is tastefully done. The Inn is arranged so that the rooms surround a small parking lot off...

I was pleasantly surprised. The price was right, the bed was comfy and we had a good sized kitchenette. It was very clean. We will surly stay again. The towels were plush and all the linens seemed new.

If you're looking for a hotel with a lot of amenities this isn't it. But if you want a nice clean room, comfortable bed which is conveniently located look no further. We have a pet which limits our choices. Usually the places smell or aren't always the best. I really liked this little place and would stay again..

While the room was small, it was immaculately clean and had everything we could have asked for. The bed was super comfy and the linens rivaled a 5 Star resort. It had a small fridge, microwave and coffee service. Coffee and tea were replenished daily. Toiletries, such as shampoo, soap, lotion, etc. we're also replenished daily, which was very welcome...

This little place is super central to the town, and is clean, smells good, and is in the process of being fixed up. The beds are great and the blankets are nice. It needs heat lamps in the bathroom, and here is the WORST thing?? It has a crawl space to the attic area that doesn't not lock!!!! AAAAAUUUUUGGGGHHHH !!!!...

We didn't know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. I loved this little hotel. It's an updated, cute motel. There are little porches with hanging baskets outside. Inside it's clean with a breezy vacation home look. The bed was extremely comfortable so we slept great. I liked Pacific City, plenty of things to do but the size of the...

My wife and I were visiting Pacific City Fly Fishing Charters/Guide. We stayed 4 nights here and were really happy with the appearance and were amazed just how clean the rooms were. Our room had a single queen and also had a full kitchen, set up like a studio apartment. The young folks in the office were very nice and...

This little inn was sweet and pleasant. The beds, linens, and pillows were all very comfortable. The rooms were very clean and though smaller, they had all the amenities one would need. Close access to Cape Kiwanda which is a not to be missed beach and dune waiting to be explored!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Ronel, Alex and little Hudson are the proud owners of the Surf & Sand Inn. Originally from South Africa (Ronel) and France (Alex) we met in California and soon after getting married, little Hudson was born. Wanting to enjoy every single moment of life we decided to relocate our family and was fortunate to find this Inn, located in the heart of the Oregon coast in Tillamook County’s beach community of Pacific City. The Inn (formerly known as The Inn at Pacific City) has a rich history, the building dates back to 1906 and for many years served as the headquarters of the Coast Guard. For the past 22 years the Inn was ran by Doug & Patti Olsen who established a reputation for value and customer satisfaction. With our background in hospitality we are excited to continue to build on this tradition. Our 15 unit motor lodge is conveniently located within walking distance to the beach, dining, the famous Nestucca River and ample outdoor activities. We have lots of extra parking for RV’s and boats and offer bicycle storage facilities. Driving distance from Portland, Salem and the Willamite Valley this beautiful part of the State offers something special for everyone. We hope to welcome you soon and don’t hesitate to contact us with questions or for special pricing; we are at your service! Life is too short to be lived outside of Pacific City!!! ... more   less
