We stayed here the weekend of our wedding (last week), and spent two nights at this wonderful place. It came highly recommended by our venue. Not only are the grounds beautiful, but the room we stayed in was great and the atmosphere is very peaceful. We stayed in the Lake room which had a huge jetted tub and separate shower, a king sized bed, a small sitting area with a couch, tv, table and mini fridge. This room is closest to the parking area, but you'd hardly notice as most of your views are of nature. We heard zero car noise the entire time. The light that shines into the bedroom in the morning is lovely. They even have a Dohm noise machine next to the bed, which is perfect because we use that same one at home.
Andy/Lea were quick to respond to any and all comments. They allowed us to check in early so we could get back to visiting with our families, and set us up with an early continental breakfast the day of our wedding which was PERFECT (dairy free yogurt with organic granola, fruit, eggs, coffee and tea). The full breakfast they serve which we had the day after was delicious and they catered to my dietary needs (gluten and dairy intolerant). They kindly offered us sparkling wine with breakfast as a celebration for our marriage.
We highly recommend Le Puy and can't wait to come back!

I don't usually write reviews of places where I have stayed, but this one impressed me so much I was moved to share my thoughts. The staff couldn't have been nicer. Everything was top quality: toiletries, hair dryer, towels, linens, decor, outdoor spaces, etc. etc. Breakfast on the balcony of room 4 was so very relaxing and scenic. We loved looking out over the rolling hills covered with vineyards and orchards. I appreciate that their breakfast boxes included items all sourced locally - every bite was delicious. I definitely recommend this as a place to "recharge your inner self."

Staying here felt like a luxurious retreat into a quiet, serene garden oasis. Setting Inn is extremely picturesque and is close to all the best pinot noir wineries and restaurants in town. My room was immaculate and comfortable with very stylish artwork and thoughtful, personalized touches. My room was on the ground level with a private patio overlooking stunning views of the valley.
Every morning, I received a breakfast box with freshly baked pastries, salami, fruits as well as champagne and orange juice to make mimosas! There was also a Nespresso machine in my room. There were a lot of beautiful outdoor spaces and a large deck to sit and relax on.
I received highly personalized service from the staff, who were very friendly and attentive. The general manager, Yndi, went above and beyond to make my stay memorable by recommending specific wineries, restaurants, and other fun activities to do in the area. She was incredibly kind and went out of her way to generously accommodate all my requests.
Setting Inn is a hidden gem. I would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a relaxing weekend getaway in a private hotel with stylish, upscale accommodations.

Newly renovated, clean, modern, quiet Countryside Inn that is located close to many wineries. Our room had a nice patio where we could sit outside in the evening with a glass of wine and enjoy the view. We stayed during the hottest heat wave of the year in August, and it was great to have a place with air-conditioning. We stayed during Covid, so the breakfast was delivered in a box to our room. Great in-room Nespresso machine and mini fridge. There is a small exercise room with a Peleton bike and a semi open lounge/outdoor game room and plenty of outdoor seating areas to sit a read a book or drink your wine.
We found dinner reservations necessary as many places were closed during the week. This may be because it is summer, or maybe it's because of Covid.
We did find the local wineries very accommodating, but advanced reservations are necessary.

Spent two nights as a birthday present for my wife and it was fantastic! Truly a premier place to stay in Oregon wine country. Andy and Lea were very welcoming and responded quickly & promptly to the requests we had during our stay. The property and home are so big you feel like you’re staying at a luxury hotel but with more peacefulness and no crowds. We stayed in the Thunder room because of the private deck area and it did not disappoint; it was perfect for drinking wine, reading, and watching the sunset. Breakfast was top notch and they can bring it right to your room if you’d like. If you are on the fence of booking because of the price, just know you’ll undoubtably get your money’s worth.

We had a wonderful stay at the Setting Inn! We came to celebrate a birthday and the Inn was even better than expected. The property is newly renovated and everything was done with extreme care, resulting in top-notch accommodations. We were wowed from the moment we arrived at the property as we made our way past the gates and up the tree lined driveway. We were personally greeted at the door with refreshments by the property manager. She made check-in easy and gave us all the information we needed to know about the Inn as well a recommendation for dining and wineries. In our room we found a handwritten welcome note and chocolates which made it even more special.

We stayed in room 6 which I can recommend as the perfect room. It has a large free standing tub, cozy fireplace, many windows and a porch which overlooked the lawn with the beautiful views. The Inn has all the amnesties you could want and more from a Nespresso coffee maker, in-room fridge, yoga mat, large cozy robes, high quality toiletries and even bath salts for the tub.
We also like that this property, unlike many other of the same size, actually had nice workout facilities. Although small, there was a Peloton, an elliptical, free weights and yoga mats which were all very clean and new. I think the addition of a treadmill would be nice, but this was more than adequate for our stay.
The property manager provides a direct phone number for any concerns, and when we had a request it was answer immediately. Everyone on the property that we interacted with we very kind and helpful. Overall, we can’t recommend this place highly enough for anyone who wants to experience the beautiful wine county in a truly five star establishment!

My hunch is that the regular manager was on vacation during our stay in August, as other reviews mention staff who were not there during our visit. The fellow who was there seemed much more familiar with the Napa property than with the Willamette area.
Our room was spacious, attractive and clean, but not worth the $908 per night which we were charged. For that price, one expects close to perfection in a rural inn.
Prior to our stay, we asked about suggestions for wine tasting. We received an email indicating they would be forthcoming, but there was no follow through on this.
The breakfast was good with pastries and fruit, but it would have been nice to have been served some butter and some protein, as well, yoghurt, perhaps. And instead of sticking a plastic bottle of half and half on the table by the coffee when we asked for something other than artificial creamer, placing it in a pitcher would have been nice.
Also, we tried to enjoy some wine and cheese, which we purchased locally, one evening on the deck, but were driven inside by a swarm of yellow jackets. At that time, it seemed like the air conditioning was not turned down enough in the common room given the 87 degree outside temperature.
The service overall felt indifferent. I had problems working the coffee machine in my room (my fault), but couldn’t find anyone around at 7:30 a.m.. We also were unclear when and where wine and cheese were served in the afternoon/evening, as mentioned upon arrival. Maybe this could have been written down somewhere in the rooms. Also, a listing of recommended restaurants in the area would have been appreciated.
There also was a strong sulphur smell emanating from the faucet in our bathroom, which we were told came from the well water (that’s excusable in a country inn). But I had a bigger problem with the design of the bed: the mattress sat on a platform which extended 6 inches outside all sides of the mattress. I bumped into a sharp corner one night and took a big gash out of my leg.
So all in all, we were less than impressed with our stay, an opinion shared by another couple with whom we traveled. Maybe at half the price we would have been more forgiving.

We stayed at The Setting Inn during May '21 and had an unforgettable time. Jared, the new manager of the Inn, was warm, professional, and went out of his way to ensure our stay was perfect. His recommendations for local restaurants and wineries were spot on. The Inn is up on a hill overlooking the beautiful valley. It's flanked by two properties with horses and farm animals. Our room (#4) was spacious, comfortable, and had spectacular views which can be enjoyed from the room and the large porch. All of the rooms, the common areas, and the grounds are all freshly renovated. The location is perfect- a short drive into town and to all the vineyards. Breakfast was delivered to our door each morning with fresh local pastries, along with a mimosa kit. There was also in room Nespresso and teas. There's no other place we would even consider staying in the valley after our experience, and can't wait to come back soon.

For many, many months, we were looking forward to our stay here. Two days before our arrival, they cancelled our reservation due to a water leak. I get cancelling it. What I am disappointed about is how they handled it. It was basically "too bad and good luck" finding another place. Our wine tasting and dining reservations were all based on the Setting Inn location. As a result, we drove all over and spent a great deal of time in our car. I gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking they were a new establishment. Then I discovered this is their second location, the first is in the Napa. A luxury resort should have in place how to handle a catastrophe. The icing on the cake was receiving their automated email at what was suppose to be the conclusion of our stay asking us how we liked it. By the way, we ended up at Atticus Inn which was fabulous.

Dear Melanie, thank you for your review. I'm sad to hear that you felt that we did not care when cancelling your reservation, when I personally spoke to you directly and apologized profusely, offered the names of other properties in the same area (the Atticus being one of them), and extended a 20% off the best available rate on your next reservation. I know you were extremely upset when we spoke, and I tried my best to diffuse the situation, because it was a situation completely out of our control, and as much as we wanted to make your anniversary great, we did not have a hotel to do so. We are a a team that prides it self on making our guests happy and feel like home, you can witness this by the wonderful reviews we have received on this platform. However, emergencies do happen, and we had to cancel many reservations not just yours, we did it the best we could at a time of crisis for myself, and my staff, I'm sorry if our apologies and discount offered as service recovery was not up to your standards. I also apologize that the automatic email was sent to you, unfortunately we were having to put out fires from all sides, including system errors. Lastly, I apologize we were not able to host you, but we do look forward to your return on a much more positive note, now that our property is officially open. We hope that you extend us the curtesy of showing you how wonderful The Setting Inn is. Cordially, Yndi
