This place was better than most of the Motel 6's we have stayed at lately. It looks like it's been newly renovated. The parking lot is very small, it's right next to a Best Western and easily confused for that property. But the building looks very nice and the room was fine. New bed and furnishings and the shower was large. I guess I'm just living in the past, but the prices are not nearly as budget as they used to be.
This property was much more than expected for the class but lower than the competitors in the area. Overall, a very nice stay.

The good news: my room was very clean, housekeeping made up the room nicely, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. When I had a room issue it was solved with a minimum of effort.
Now the bad news: the floors were super cold since there is no carpeting or rugs (hint, bring warm slippers). The stairs and outside walks are dirty, smoke smelling, and a bit scary. Cigarette buts on the upstairs walk way, cobwebs hanging from the walls around the stairway, even a used q-tip on the stairs the whole time I was there. One evening there was even a person rummaging thru the trash cans that just sit in the open in the parking lot. People also stood just outside the rooms smoking.
The first non-smoking room I was given smelled strongly to the point I had to ask for a new room. The new room was in a lousy location but only had a hint of cigarette smoke.
All-in-all I could not recommend this to a woman traveling alone, I felt safe in the room, but NOT on the grounds. Really, it is not that much cheaper than other motels in the area to be worth the savings.

I have stayed in much nicer motel 6's for 1/3 the price. It is not just the price that needs a great deal of improvement. The room we had was updated with nice LCD TV and other nice furnishings but even an armature should have been able to do a much better job of installations.
The caulking in the bathroom looks like a two year old did it while playing. It is just globed on and so poorly applied that it has a great deal of scum and mold growing in all the cracks that can not be cleaned.
The trim and paint show a complete lack of skill and attention to detail also. Runs in the paint everywhere, It is not a fresh paint job but there are still many spots where the trim tape is still in place and peeling off.
Rusty screws in tub and other fixtures. Electrical switch and plug covers installed crooked and with ugly mismatched and missing screws.
Moldings around doors and floor look as armature as the rest of the room.
Lots of channels on the TV and free internet.
Girl at desk was nice but took almost an hour to find her after we checked in and wanted to ask a question about the internet.

I made reservations to stay at this hotel knowing it wouldn't be the greatest but figured it would be livable. I was soo wrong!!! In the office I noticed a sign that said no refunds after 10 minutes of check in. That should have tipped me off but then I walked into the room. NO EXATERATION it looked like the room doubled as a meth lab. The walls were filthy, there was no dead bolt on the door, the bathroom looked about as good as a rest stop bathroom. It was the most disgusting thing I had ever stepped foot into. And because there were no other hotels with any openings that weekend, I ended up having to stay at a hotel in Newberg.

I am sitting in one of the "upgraded" rooms of this pit right now. I had to stay here on buisiness because of a mistake by our travel dept. I had read the other review before arriving and it is dead on. Even the sign saying "no refunds after 10 minutes" in the lobby.
The rooms have holes in the walls, crappy air conditioners, furniture that looks like its from some type of crime scene and the bathrooms are unbelievable. One of the other guys in my company has an extention cord running across his room to power the A/C.
If you have no other choice, sleep in your car before you actually pay money to stay here. There are 3 other hotels in Mcminville and I have stayed at all of them. Best to worst: Vinyard, Lion, Safari( DUMP) and this [--]*Paragon.

Dear customers, We feel saddened about this recent bad review.It isnt based on anything legit.Our hotel has been under new management since March,2005 Some of the new modifications are as follows: New pillowtop mattresses,new furniture,stained glass Tiffany style lighting, fridges,microwaves,wireless internet,cable television,double paned windows,new roof and paint outside,ect... We are working hard to provide travellers with nice and clean affordable rooms.We still remain the lowest rate rooms in town without cutting cost to provide you with comforts.

We stayed here on Saturday (9/3/16). Our previous two stays were OK. This time was definitely not. Room 126 is very close to a smoking station and the smoke enters the room through the A/C unit. The A/C unit was working but the controls were broken. The button for lowering the temperature (set for 60°) was there but the control for raising it again was a open hole (no button). We asked for an extra pillow but were told none were available. When we went to get in the bed we discovered that the mattress had a cover but no sheet. Price may be more reasonable than other local places but not worth it.

A bit confusing to locate; next to another motel with same entrance; close to downtown less than 2 miles, very close to grocery stores, no rugs and Ikea like furniture. Bed not comfortable and noisy next to hwy. 3 days stay, room not cleaned; TV reception was dish - picture blurry. Internet worked okay. Office staff helpful and friendly. Not many choices for reasonably priced places to stay; however, we went during UFO Festival and everything was booked.

This was my first ever actual 'highway' motel to stay in. I had read some bad reviews from last year, but everything this year seemed fine. And i agree. It does appear they have been recently upgraded and cleaned up. It was a simple, modern and clean look.
I really liked that it was hard wood floors and no carpet. It feels, smells and looks a LOT cleaner than i can imagine other motels do. was really overall happy with the cleanliness.
Staff were really nice.
Only issue, was trying to get the shower at a good temperature. It was either too hot or too cold. Took ages to change and would change mid shower. It was almost impossible to find the right temperature. I am not sure if there is an issue that can be fixed, but worth the owners looking at.
Not too far from the centre of town, but may want to take a cab to the centre of town. The Cabbie knew all the right places to go too!!
Area did not feel unsafe.

I was nervous because I had heard bad things, but reviews here and elsewhere are okay. But budget and lack of rooms in town landed us here. For the price, it's a good deal. Nothing fancy, but again, it's a budget motel. Nice tv system, clean room, beds comfy, little fridge and microwave, wi fi. Pool is being repaired, so there is a pool but won't be ready until July.
Downside: bit noisy, due to closeness of highway. Walls seem to be a bit thinner and you can hear others. No coffee in room or breakfast bar in lobby. Heck, no lobby, to speak of.
But friendly staff and was satisfied with room. For the price, and know you're not getting things like coffee in room (though there is in lobby) or breakfast, I'd recommend it. I'll be back.

This motel was particularly Spartan, with vinyl flooring, a small room, no luggage rack and little table or counter space. We were just looking for a bed for the night and it worked for that, although my husband found the bed less comfortable than I did. The room was adequately clean and the clerk was polite.

Oh! We watched all kinds of shady characters walking around. Unfortunately we were stuck staying as no other available.
I say NO!
The Sage Restaurant, Pura Vida, and Crescent are a couple restaurants that I would recommend. Thistle is a more expensive restaurant for a special occasion.
