We just had one night in McMinnville for our anniversary while Grandpa watched the kids, but enjoyed our stay at the Douglas on Third suite. The room (a corner owner's suite) felt both modern and vintage with tasteful decorations and furnishings. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils, but we did not make much use of these as we enjoyed dining at the restaurants on third street (Bistro Maison is just down the street and amazing!). The person I spoke with on the phone to make the same-day reservation was extremely friendly and gave us clear directions (as well as letting us do late check out when our brunch took much longer than expected); email communication was great. The location is so convenient and gave us a perfect parking spot to then venture out on foot. Bed was comfortable, clawfoot tub was great for a long soak, everything was calming and quiet. We could have stayed a week!

The room was great. The set up was perfect for two people who did not want to share the bedroom. My son could sleep in on the king size bed in the lovely bedroom. I was able to sleep wonderfully on the comfy pull out queen bed in the studio. The room had a fully stocked kitchen. A beautiful soaker tub was between the two rooms that gave everyone lots of privacy. The location was great for walking to shops and restaurants. I would gladly recommend this wonderful boutique hotel.

We were very happy with our stay here. We arrived on a Tuesday afternoon and left Friday morning. Entry was very easy. Details on how to enter were fantastic. We were celebrating a birthday and friend called ahead and asked for a bottle of sparkling to be placed in the fridge for us and this request was met. One time during our stay we needed more bottled water. There are instructions on how to get that or more towels or anything else you may need, and everything came as we would expect it to.
Very clean. Comfortable bed. We were not bothered by any street noise. It was the middle of the week so I’m not sure if it would be louder on the weekend but I do not think it would given the location of Douglas on 3rd. We also felt this location was very safe.
They also have a great shared sitting area that we spent one evening enjoying the music and having a drink to ourselves. You are right on 3rd street so you are walking distance to everything you would want in town. We never had an issue with parking in the lot provided. We were out during the day and usually back by 5:30/6. The lot was full in the morning so I’m not sure if we came back late if we might have to find street parking, but there seemed to be plenty of that if needed. I would highly recommend Douglas on Third and if we find our way back to town we would stay here again.

I really want to be able to give this a 5 but due to the size I am sticking with just below. Although everything was more than adequate about our room it was a very tight squeeze for 2 adults and a 90 lb labrador. Here's the thing though; it did work!! Everything was very clean and well furbished for the size. I wished for a king sized bed but the room would not have accommodated it; the queen that was there was very comfy. Do be careful with the night time trip to the bathroom...there's a small toe stumping step!! Very safe location with locking systems. It's in a walkable distance to the cute town of Mcminnville. Restaurant's directly across the street, brewery a stones throw across the street. Everything is at your finger tips! Very easy to contact staff and self check in is simple.

The communication from the hotel was timely and welcoming. Clear instructions were provided with respect to how to gain entry to our room, how to contact staff for anything we might need as well as information regarding the general area. Our room was clean and comfortable. And pillows! Lots of pillows on the bed which we genuinely appreciated. The location was a huge bonus, allowing us to explore the main street shops and restaurants any time of day.

My girlfriend and I had a nice 2-night stay at Douglas on Third. You probably won't have any interaction with staff during your stay, but we were provided in advance with all of the codes and other info we needed to check in and get situated. Free parking is furnished behind the building. The small hotel is located on Third Street, which is the main drag in McMinnville. Lots of restaurants. shopping, and wine tasting rooms are pretty much at your doorstep. The room was quiet even though our windows fronted Third Street and it had everything we needed, though space was a bit tight with our large suitcases. There's also mini kitchen for those who want to do their own cooking. A bit of a quirk is that the bathroom was situated between the bedroom and the sitting room, so you have to pass through it to get to the bedroom. Despite the petite size of the room, we had a nice stay and would come back again.

Very convenient to the quaint walkable historic downtown area (shops, tasting bars, and restaurants). The entrance is easy in/out with a code. Parking is a nice perk! The hotel itself is exactly as described. Zero surprises - renovated historic building. It is cute and has everything you need. Well appointed rooms that maximize every inch of the tiny spaces. Could use a larger bar of soap and a make up mirror. Appreciated the mini fridge for our drinks. Otherwise, didn’t use the kitchenette but it was great to have the space. We slept with white noise to minimize the sounds from the neighbors and had no issues. Recommendations for food in the guest book/binder were very helpful (loved “wildwood cafe” for comfort food breakfast).

The rooms are very small and cramped, no air movement from outside as up against another building. Loud music filters in all evening until 10 pm, felt like a cheap hotel…not worth the money. Also, no restaurants are open or are filled up downtown bc a lack of workers. I would never stay here again. Was not worth price!!!

We stayed three nights at the inn in room 2. It’s good size for two adults and has a small homey feel. The location is great, right in town and close to everything. The sheets are nice and it has plenty of kitchen items for breakfast and snacks. There are other pillows in the closet for comfort options. The only down side are small steps in the living room and bedroom that can make you trip!
Their complimentary wine tasting on Friday is great and their area recommendations are helpful.

We were incredibly let down with our experience at The Douglas. For the price, we had high expectations and none of them were met.
Pros: location, ease of check-in, free parking, quiet
Cons: THE SMELL in the hallway was like raw sewage trying to be covered with the most fake floral, sickeningly sweet air freshener; absolutely NO hot water, no matter how long we waited; our friend’s room wreaked of cigarettes; the parking lot is tight and hard to navigate; you cannot request more toilet paper/towels/toiletries if you are staying less than 3 nights

Do not waste your money staying here. There are plenty of lovely Airbnbs nearby, and certainly some hotels with much more to offer.

Yes, we have tv’s in all of our rooms. We offer roku tv, so there are some local channels available, but you can also log in to any subscriptions you have, such as Netflix.
Answer from Lucetta E
Unit 1 and 8 have the claw foot tubs. In my opinion, unit 14 has the best view with the most windows.
