The room as a whole was smelly and dirty The curtains on the sliding door were torn and filthy, The living room furniture smelled of Body odor and dirty feet. The pillows in the bedroom smelled like smelly feet. There are so many more options in Lincoln City do your research, I will never go back to this one.
I can not say enough wonderful things about Pelican Shores. The management and staff”s attention to detail is excellent. Super clean, updated rooms and I can definitely say they all care about their customers. I thing this is the best value on the coast. Did I mention how clean it was? If you are on a budget, look at booking a room without an ocean view because it’s a short flight of stairs and you are walking on the beach. I have stayed here before and will stay again. Until next time, I would like to say thank you to the wonderful and hardworking staff. Looks to be run very well from ownership on down. Btw. Super comfortable bed. The pics are from our room window
Sadly this was a disappointment. We stayed a total of 3 nights, and we were all glad when the stay came to an end and got us out of the musty bottom floor room, which was more like a basement. The ocean view is incredible, especially if you’re not next to the retaining wall like we were. There was an issue with the toilet in the main room, and I reported it the first morning before we went out for the day. It appeared fixed when we returned, thankfully. Condition of bathrooms was a little questionable, holes that had been patched over and paint cracking on the ceilings. The service is sorely lacking, and the gals at the front desk are disinterested and rather unfriendly. There was no daily housekeeping, which I get due to the current times (and perhaps lack of staff?) but no one mentioned this at check in. The breakfast was laughable, and shouldn’t be advertised as “continental.” Overall, highly unlikely we’d stay here again. Should have booked a condo like we usually do but since this place got such good reviews, we gave it a shot. Perhaps the higher floors are better, but ground level was very disappointing.…
I had to knock a star off of this review, and that pains me. I've stayed here 7 or 8 times and have always loved it. The service, the view, the comfortable/clean rooms...everything is the best! This time there were a few issues, however. Nothing that would keep me from coming back, but a little disappointing as I had brought a friend with me for the first time. We got a suite on the top floor at the end of the building. It was the first time I've had a suite. I prefer a regular room when I'm on my own, as in a suite your beds are on the parking lot side where you can't see/hear the ocean. That was okay for us this trip, but this was one of the rooms without a balcony/patio, just a sliding door. I've had that in a room before with no problem, but now I see they've removed the screens from those doors. So if you want the door open, you need to watch out for gulls, insects, and other flying things coming into the room. I inquired at the front desk and was told all of the screens on the rooms with sliding doors were removed because they kept falling out and that was dangerous. More dangerous than no screen?? It should be pretty obvious that with an oceanfront room people are going to want to let the fresh air and ocean sounds into the room by opening their door. It was really frustrating to have to choose between keeping it closed and opening it with no screen. We also were not told upon check in that there was no housekeeping. That's fine, but had we known we would have been a bit more conservative with our towels. We put the "Do not disturb" sign out for the first couple of days because we didn't need service, but then we put it out because we just needed towels and toilet paper, but no one came. Again we inquired at the front desk and were told that they weren't cleaning rooms but could bring us some towels and toilet paper. They left it outside of our door while we were out. Again, not a big deal but it might have been worth a mention upon check in. We saw that our neighbor had their "Service please" sign out too, so apparently no one was being told. Also, our suite had just one waste basket located in the bathroom. Definitely could have used one in the kitchen area. We also, since there was no housekeeping, took our own trash out to the dumpster a couple of times. The information book in our room said there were cookies in the lobby in the afternoon, but there were not. I suppose the cookies and the housekeeping issues were due to Covid. I still love the Pelican Shores and hope to come back again soon. But I'm going to make sure I get a room where I can open the door so I can enjoy it fully.…
Wonderful oceanfront location. Coffee in the morning overlooking the ocean and wine in the evening watching the sunset. The Inn was clean and well maintained. We took advantage of the guest laundry and free breakfast. Would def stay again.
This is the second time I have stayed here. Love the location and the staff. Gio, Adriana, and everyone else at the front desk went above and beyond to see that we were comfortable. One caveat, the first floor is only reachable by stairs...can be difficult for someone with mobility issues. I look forward to going back soon.
We traveled to Lincoln City during our trip to Oregon in June 2021. Oregon coast is beautiful and dramatic during this time of the year. The hotel is located right on the beach. There is a separate bedroom, kitchenette and a family room facing the ocean. The breakfast is simple but adequate. The beach is gorgeous. The sun rise was magical as there was a beautiful rainbow in the ocean. The morning walk on the beach was super relaxing. We travel with our special needs daughter in the wheelchair. There was an elevator available but room doors are very tight for an individual in wheel chair. The staff was wonderful.
We stayed here over Labor Day Weekend and it was a perfect place to stay right on the beach. We were a family of 4 and had the 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath unit. It had everything we needed. Location was great, stove, refrigerator, micro wave, coffee pot with coffee packets, dishwasher, BBQ's by the pool. Continental breakfast was good. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Lincoln City.
The location is in a great area of Lincoln City. We were heading home after our stay and getting of of Lincoln City in the summer can be difficult, so the location was perfect. The view of the ocean from our deck was amazing, the bed was comfortable. The room even had full size coffee pot. I would absolutely stay again.
The best thing about this suite was the sliding glass door to look out of, the view is breathtaking! The rest of the room leaves a lot to be desired. The sofa was old, hard as a board, full of stains, and actually leaned forward at an awkward angle making it super uncomfortable. The chair in the room was not any better except that instead of leaning forward it kind of sagged in the middle. The kitchen was not very well equipped and there is only a stovetop, and no oven. I was hoping the bed would be more comfortable than the sofa, but it wasn't, it was old and felt like we were sleeping on a board. The noise level wasn't too bad, the pool area is in the parking lot in a covered structure which is great to keep it quieter. The final straw for us was trying to get the gas fireplace to light on our last night, it took us about 4 tries and it finally lit, when we tried to shut it off it kept burning for another 10 minutes or so, and we slept with our sliding door open slightly just it didn't shut off because it was leaking gas.…
