After a great snowshoe in to view the frozen Paulina Creek Waterfall - we trekked on to the lodge for lunch. 15 of us enjoyed lunch upstairs in the cozy bar. Always great burgers, elk burgers, prime rib sandwiches and the best homemade tomato soup ever!! Karen with very helpful in organizing a timely Sno Cat ride back out to...

We were touring the Newberry Volanic National Moument just outside of Bend,Oregon and came across this nice littlle place for rest and coffee. The lodge has a main building where the restaurant is located and a number of cabins spread along the shores of Lake Paulina. The setting is very lovely and the staff was very nice. We only had...

I go to the lodge annually because my extended family holds a reunion there. I hate the place and have often chosen to sleep at the campsite (even while pregnant) to avoid the cabins. There are signs all over the cabins reminding you that "YOU WILL BE CHARGED!!" for everything. For leaving a wet towel on your last day, for...

We had an interesting one. We got there and stayed in the Jay cabin which had 2 beds in it. What you have to know and understand about this pace is that you have no wi-fi, no tv, no cell (I have verizon, possible a little on the dock) and your heat is chopping yourself the wood for the wood burning...

My family and I have been going to Paulina Lake for over 25 years and consider this a piece of paradise. The owners are happy to see you return and will help with any concern. Unlike other resort owners, Karen and Todd have taken a large part of their profit over the years to upgrade the resort. Between natural disasters,...

Just got back from a three day stay and we had a wonderful time. Plenty of snow and the owners and their family were very pleasant. Great views and the cabins and amenities were more than adequate. Our five year old enjoyed sledding on the slopes between the cabins and snowshoeing for the first time. We hope to return in...

I've been to the lodge 5 or 6 times in the last decade (usually as a day trip from Sun river where we stay) and have always enjoyed the rustic, back to the '50s feel of the place. It's a decrepit, deferred-maintenance nightmare (it euphemistically describes itself as "rustic"), but we enjoy the layed-back ambiance, relaxing on the lawn by...

This cabin has the best parking area, access to the lake, and the most incredible view of the lake. There is an upper area loft where squeaky floors and critter holes greet you and the vaulted ceiling provides a great view of the morning sunrise. The main living area is cozy but there are old items that could be removed/replaced,...

We made a mistake of reserving a cabin without reading the reviews. The bed sheets were disgusting. They did not even put soap in the bathroom so we had to go ask for it. Not a good place to stay when the temperature is 100F.
