It was an oh so windy night! ..like a novel.. it was a dark windy night...tI arrived late just at 9 PM. The front desk staff was supper sweet, very patient. The trip up the scenic Columbia Gorge and up and up from Pendelton OR was nice and mellow. This is a better route east than the manic i90. But... More

In an expected sense. But if you love our country and its history, it goes way beyond. This place was suggested to us by friends. We were in town for a college homecoming weekend. As we were checking in, a couple decided not to stay because it was "too old". This isn't for everyone. But it is lovingly restored. When... More

I hate it when I see potential that isn't working. This is a massive structure and it's being used as a hotel, museum, art gallery and health spa. There is an incredible amount of deferred maintenance. The rooms are decorated in period furniture and are clean. The Windows don't open and they are filthy with cob webs and accumulated debris... A group of us stayed here for 2 nights, Besides being a B&B you get to watch David Manuel do his bronze sculpting, see his many finished sculptures, sometimes watch the firing process, and there is an incredible museum on the 3rd floor. A must is the soaking pool, actually, there are several, that mineral water will relax you! There... More

Another creepy place to stay......... A little on the expensive side considering the location. Lets face it, La Grande is not the hot tourist spot and the price needs to reflect this. This B&B is scary in a good way from the look and feel as well as its history. If you are seeking a Halloween experience, this is the... More

Interesting history. Next to Highway and RR noise. Food average. Only breakfast available. Large old fashion rooms. Interesting decor. Watch for goose poop! A work in progress. Expensive for what is provided. Okay if you like antiques and quirky...unique...not what we expected.

Let's call it what it is. Average. Nice rooms that are good size but go a little too nostalgic. The rooms are covered with old photos and need to be updated. The building itself is a little scary. As you walk in the front area it's like a construction zone with many things in need of repair. There's a bit... More

We had the best experience here. The land surrounding the B&B is just beautiful and there are other things on site to look at such as the hot springs, trappers hut, multiple hot tubs in different locations, and other sites. Inside each room is a different style. I can't even describe how lovely our room was. The bed was soooo... More

This was a fascinating hotel experience, with wonderful history, a museum, hot tubs, and excellent, kind staff. I will remember staying there as a truly magical experience. It was the highlight of our cross-Oregon trip.....especially after the horrendously bad customer service at the Geiser Grand Hotel. If you are interested in history and being treated well, the Hot Lake Springs... More

We just stopped by on the way to La Grande so cannot comment on the rooms or service but the photographs of the rooms did look nice and the one staff member we met was friendly. All the water in the hotel was sourced from the hot springs. The hotel has great historical value but needs professional work and investment... More
