The perfect getaway! This high mountain historic lake resort sits beside one of the clearest natural lakes found in the Southern Oregon Cascades. One can enjoy cabin life, comfort food, the wonders of nature, and a variety of outdoor recreational activities... summer & winter!
This was our 3rd time to camp at LOW and we parked our camper trailer in a full hook-up site. The sites are spacious, but the sewer connection at our site and several other sites were higher than the camping pad itself. Which means extra work of lifting hoses to drain tanks. A few loads of gravel in each site would help to get the RV’s at a level so that the $__t rolls downhill. We came with a large group and love to fish. We’re an older crowd that’s not too fond of getting in boats, so fishing from the docks works best for us. The Marina staff was very inconsistent on allowing people to fish from the marina docks. We were yelled at when we tried it, yet other days people would be out there fishing off the marina docks and never confronted or told they couldn’t. How hard…

Stopped in for a lunch on our way through with our bikes. Parking area was a bit tight for bikes as there were not a lot of level areas. The lodge was really beautiful. Ended up having lunch in the upstairs new bar area overlooking the lake. Food was very good. Mac and Cheese outstanding. Looking forward to staying a few days on a quick vacation.

Not only is the setting gorgeous, the staff is very helpful and attentive. We took our 40' motorhome which can sometimes present logistical challenges in-park. However, at LOW the access roads are easily negotiated and our campsite was plenty big. There's also lots of overflow parking if you're bringing along a toad. Had a great time with the grandkids, lots to do, the weather was great, especially for early May.

We were very happy and lake of the woods. The cabin was wonderful for a family of 5. We have 3 kids under the age of 10. They really loved the loft area. We got to watch it snow from inside the cabin. The kid's got to play in the snow as we watched them from the porch. We will be going again next winter and so on.

Every part of our stay was made comfortable by the staff. Hope and Matt were particularly helpful and I enjoyed meeting both of them. The food at the restaurant is unbelievably good and reasonably priced! The only bummer part was the day we had to leave and go home. Thank you Lake of the Woods for making our stay so enjoyable! We will be back soon! Sincerely David Tyler

We had a fantastic Winter stay in one of the Lake of the Woods cabins. Very comfortable and nicely decorated. Very friendly staff. Enjoyed a very tasty dinner from the Lodge. Nice campfire and music in the evening meeting other campers. Lots of snow for the kids to play in. We also stay at the Lake during the Summer. Fantastic BBQ and live music on Saturday evenings. LOW is our favorite to visit or stay through out the year.

Lake of the Woods is a beautiful, serene place which we have been fortunate enough to visit in most all seasons. We reserved a cabin for September 2020 but had to cancel due to the Alameda fire that devastated the areas of Talent and Phoenix, OR. We were to meet my sister in LOTW for a little R&R from the ensuing pandemic until she called to inform us she had just lost her home and all her belongings in the fire. It was devastating, a very sad time, not a time for vacationing so we had to cancel our cabin. My sister was able to get a full refund for her RV site but we were not so fortunate. Under the circumstances, we thought the LOTW owners would be more understanding and compassionate. They were not. Yes, this review is somewhat vindictive but s*** happens and in the end…

Lake of the Woods is a wonderful place to get away from the craziness that is 2020. The cabin we stayed in was clean, cozy, appropriately furnished and stocked, and the staff was friendly, professional, helpful, and responsive. We'll definitely be back.

Fleeing wildfire smoke in California, we booked in here in our trailer on the spur of the moment on our way home. We would have been better to have gone straight home. Water spigot broken, gas fumes in the air. 1 restroom for the whole of the camp down at the very bottom, so a long walk from the top of the campground. 1 of the 2 showers working, ingrained dirt. Feces marks on the walls of the toilet stall. Engine noise running for quite some time shortly after 6 a.m. Timber saw mill machine started up at 8.15, constant high-pitched noise from the saw, loud workmen's voices and forklift noise. Employee speeding through campground on golf cart leaving trail of dust behind. Went to the store to cancel that coming night's stay. Drilling, banging there as roof replaced.…
