I recently spent a week at this property, while visiting family in the area. The entire hotel was spotless and the staff is superb. Grace and Kao took care of my every request with ease. The beds, pillows and linens are fabulous. The sheets feel like silk and the towels are soft and fluffy (especially for a hotel). The location (at Keizer Station) is ideal and there are multiple options for dining and shopping. I have stayed at this location since the week they first opened several years ago and I am thrilled to say that they have shown a real consistency for excellence. I would not hesitate to recommend them and look forward to my next visit.
Attentive staff, even though at desk desk alone. We’d just come back from 3 days of hiking and exploring the greater Salem area and were tired and just wanted to rest. The young woman at the desk, Grace, was kind, and even though she was lone she came up to the room when the heat unexpectedly quit working. I question the safety of a staffer being alone at the front desk of a hotel on a Fri eve, tho. Bed was comfortable, room was great, blackout curtains were FAB, once we were shown how to use them. 😜
If you get a room away from I-5, you will have a great nights rest. Hotel is relatively new and well appointed. Convenient to shopping and restaurants. In n Out is right next door on one side and Panerra on the other. Good breakfast. Good value for the money.
HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE! I awoke one night, unable to breath very well, my room permeated with cigarette smoke. I am allergic. I called the desk and spoke with Michael, he said they will check it out, so I went back to bed. When I got up for the day my room was still very smoky. I checked the hallway and it was worse, even the 2 ladies cleaning rooms were aware of how bad it was. I went down to the front desk and spoke with Michael again - he said there was nothing they could do. I even pointed out the large sign behind him that says 100% smoke free hotel. I asked to be moved to another room on another floor and explained that I am allergic to the smoke, he checked the computer and said he had nothing, Since this was in the morning I expected him to say we will have people checking out this morning and will have one of those rooms cleaned right away. But instead he brushed it off and said "I have done all I can". I said you could go up there and try to determine which room it is coming from and stop it (he NEVER did) - I told him I would knock on every door if I had to. "Oh no, we can't do that". I told him I have to check out then - he said "are you sure that's what you want to do?" I have stayed at this particular hotel for the past 2 years, for 1 week, every month. Grace has always treated me very well, but when I spoke with her she offered 2000 points for my inconvenience (2000 points is nothing considering it takes 15,000+ for one night stay). Eventually she comp'd one night stay. I am very concerned about staying there again since they would rather loose a long time customer than try to find the one breaking the law!…
Manager Ben was totally rude. I paid over $550 for two nights and no WiFi. He told me apple products were having problem the day before. Admitted that no one had called Tech support to fix the problem. Over an hour later after I spoke to tech support they "by passed" the system and connected me. Ben and the other lady at the front desk were extremely rude. Deflected everything with it is Hotels.com's problem with reservations and it's apple's problem with connection. They did very little to help until I persisted, called and went down to the front desk three times. Worst hotel experience in my life. They told me my confirmation was something different and gave me a different room. They told me to prove it and pull up the confirmation, but the internet wasn't working so I couldn't pull up my confirmation in my email. They were argumentative at every interaction. When I called the front desk they put me on hold and then hung up on me. This legitimately was horrible. I was up past midnight with kids who were trying out for the olympic developmental program. Complete exhaustion of drama and rudeness.…
We were in Oregon for my brothers memorial over Labor Day week end 2020. When we checked the front desk personnel (Grace) was very wonderful. She give us all the updated rules do to COVID19. Our room was clean and very comfortable. Edd was awesome.
The first time I have ever stayed in a hotel with perfect room darkening shades that left our room totally dark. Bed was very comfortable. Quiet. Plenty of USB ports for charging phones and things. Good working refrigerator. Breakfast offered both bacon and sausage as well as 2 different style of eggs. Better than most breakfasts. Despite everything good about the room and facility the best was the attitude of each person working. We stayed for several days right over Christmas. Front desk was always genuinely glad to see us and glittered in their bright sweaters and funky Christmas hats. We paid double what we would have paid for our usual hotel in Keizer but the experience really was twice as nice. I would have preferred an option for a bathtub, although the shower was large and worked well. Parking and entrance was difficult due to the proximity to the brand new In'N'Out Burger but it all worked out. Excellent location - just off the freeway, Chipotle, Outback, and In'N'Out all very easy walking distance. Target is just feet away for any forgotten items. Pool is very small, but heated in a warm, heated inside room. We travel often, and most hotels are much fancier, but this hotel far exceeded our expectations and we look forward to returning.…
A new hotel that is very well kept. Very clean property with no damaged furniture. The hotel front desk staff is very friendly, helpful and approachable. Housekeeping is thorough and accommodating. The hotel takes security seriously, which is good to know because everyone should feel safe during their travels. The rooms are spacious with modern furnishings. A nice flat-screen TV mounted to the wall. Long desk with a lot of surface space. An armoire to hang your clothes in. A big mini-fridge, which is different than most hotels, and a microwave. Rooms offer either a walk-in shower or a bathtub. If you have a preference, call the hotel and let them know or place it in your reservation and the hotel is great at accommodating based on availability and when notified. The windows are huge with retractable black-out shaded. Some rooms have remote controlled shades. The room temperature is regulated by a mounted thermostat which is convenient so you don't have to walk to the unit to change settings. When I stay, the hotel is quiet and peaceful. Mostly business travelers from what I was told with families and groups sometimes staying as well. Breakfast is a buffet-style with a variety of hot and cold options. The hotel offers an indoor pool, gym, and guest laundry. The hotel is located inside a shopping complex called Keizer Station which offers places like Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, World Market, Lows just to name a few. Keizer Station offers multiple dining options like Outback Steakhouse, Chipotle, Panera Bread, and In & Out to name a few. The Woodburn Premium Outlets is about 20 mins North from this Hotel which offers additional shopping. The hotel is next to Interstate 5 which makes traveling easy. All-in-all, a great hotel with great amenities and attractions. I recommend this hotel to anyone that is traveling to the Salem Oregon area.…
I recently spent 4 nights at this property and once again I was extremely happy in every area. The beds are wonderful, with your choice of pillows, and the bedding is super soft. Love the giant walk in shower and with rain head and great water pressure. The towels are soft and plentiful and the large mirror with surround lighting is the best. I especially like the two tier shelf system in the sink area. It is also very handy to have such a large in-room safe. And there is a fridge and microwave in an area between the room and bathroom. But without question the very best thing about this hotel is the staff. Everyone, from the front desk, to housekeeping, to management are beyond helpful and friendly and their attitude is truly genuine and not just a matter of good business. I visit several times throughout the year and they always make me feel very comfortable and welcome.…
I stay at this Holiday Inn Express several times a year for business in Salem. It is a short drive from the business center of Salem and is always my preferred location. A brand new hotel with all the amenities you need. There are multiple spots to eat, Panera & Chipotle within 100 yards. Besides being new and a beautiful place to rest, the staff is first class. Grace, who always checks me in could not be friendlier or more efficient. The breakfast staff is always on the spot to make sure everything is what you would expect. It's a little hard to navigate the area of the, "Keizer Station" but well worth the sometimes confusing streets. Starbucks & Target very close by, with plenty of shops for everything you might need. Great place, great people. Get out of downtown and into the quiet of Keizer! …
