We had a very large group for the patio on a Friday afternoon. We had a grumpy French waiter, who improved his attitude over the course of the lunch, becoming quite charming at the end. Food, as always was very good. The desserts won over quite a few reluctant calorie counters too! Quite the splendid lunch repast for our group...

We stayed in cottage 11, very comfortable, bed very nice. Room spotless!! Shower, really great. They have done a super job in keeping to "old" yet modernizing! It was very quiet, relaxing time. Will definitely come back!!! Breakfast was real, your choice off menu instead of prepared food sitting around. Staff is very friendly, helpful, and doing whatever they can...

I arranged a rehearsal dinner here for 60, working with Platon, who made all of the arrangements. The evening was flawless, from the outstanding and thoughtful service to each course. Our flatiron steak was beautifully seasoned and perfectly grilled. The children's menu was a real pleaser. And that hazelnut meringue raspberry pavlova for dessert? No WONDER everyone raves about it....

The staff called beforehand to set up my late arrival arrangements. The room was awaiting our arrival and the heat had been turned on so we walked into a cozy Presidential suite. Highly recommend cottage #12. The room was clean and stocked with cold water and snacks. We received a discount for breakfast in the restaurant which turned out to...

We stayed in cottage 11 and found it very comfortable. It has a large shower with steam and a large jetted tub. The town is historical and easily walked. And make sure you dine in the restaurant, great service, great food, fantastic wine list. .

This past weekend I stayed at The Presidential Suite.. a beautiful private cottage near the Historical Jacksonville Inn istself. Large spacious comfortable accommodations, we opened the door to find a warm fireplace lit room.. a complete patio backyard and water feature. There are only a few rooms to this Inn and it gets booked quickly due to not only the...

I travel to Medford, OR on business and have been staying at the historic Jacksonville Inn for eleven years. Each room is decorated with a 19th century flair, but has all of the amenities you want. There is a wonderful restaurant and bar downstairs and a large wine shop, along with a separate dining room for breakfast and lunch. The...

This restaurant is quaint, situated in the basement of an historic building with one stone wall. The menu choices are interesting--blue cheese brulee--and varied. The food is very good and the service is friendly. I love the setting. It's romantic and unique. I recommend a visit when you are in the area.

My wife and I stayed in the Presidential Cottage. The cottage is very private, comfortable and well laid-out . Jacksonville is a great little town to walk. It has lots of tourist shops and attractions in the local area.

Jacksonville is exceptional. The dining room is beautiful, quaint and with a bit of old-time structure and ambiance. The waitstaff is friendly and professional. They make you feel as if you were a special guest of the Inn, even when you are just in town to shop and want a bite to eat! The food is delicious and beautifully, artistically...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Housed in one of gold-rush Jacksonville's early permanent structures, the Jacksonville Inn perpetuates the nostalgic romances of that era. Built in 1861, the walls of the dining area and lounge were built of locally quarried sandstone, and specks of gold are still visible in the mortar. The town is the first in America to be named a National Historic Landmark, and Jacksonville has preserved its 19th Century charm.Located in the heart of this national landmark town, The Inn is an elegant historic bed and breakfast featuring luxurious Honeymoon Cottages. Gerry Frank of the Portland Oregonian named the Inn as the "Most Romantic" lodging in Oregon. As one of Oregon's most acclaimed restaurants, it received the Medford Mail Tribune's "Readers' Choice Award" for five consecutive years as "Best Restaurant." The Wine and Gift Shop has over 2,000 wines and received Wine Spectator magazine's "Best of Award of Excellence," one of 600 in the world. ... more   less
