We made a last minute stop at this very cute B&B. Friendly staff. Clean rooms! Very good location for walking into the heart of the town to either shop, eat, or sip brewery beers. Easy to find parking (they do have a small parking lot or street parking is available). Quiet room, no street noise as we had a room...

Thank you so much for the kind review. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay at Oak Street Hotel & Vacation Homes and our Hood River downtown. Our cook, Terry, is a great baker, her scones and hand pies are definitely a favorite! Next time you stay with us we'll make sure you get an extra treat. -...

We LOVED Oak Street Hotel! Stayed here for one night as we were passing through Hood River, and stopped in to check availability - so glad we did. A lovely, character, B&B - welcoming and inviting. Morgan on the front desk was delightful. The room was well appointed, spotlessly clean, cute and charming, and the bed was super comfortable. Had...

we had been driving for most of two days -- could have (but didn't) continue on to our daughter (and family) place in Portland ... but. We were tired. Spent the previous night in our tent on a hilltop in Idaho. Lots of driving. And, so, "let's slow down, stop, relax, shower, SLEEP and then continue to see the family...

My wife and I and another couple spent two nights here. First, the positives: This B&B is in a great location, within easy walking distance of downtown. It's quaint -- there was a beautiful display of fall decorations out front (pumpkins, flowers, etc.). The homemade breakfasts were tasty. The staff (with one exception) were friendly. Now, the negatives: The rooms...

The room was clean, It was right next to a Restaurant and you could hear them taking trash out in the middle of the night. We had a suite that only had A/C in one of the rooms. One of the screws from the toilet seat was off when we got there (not sure how cleaning missed that) and the...

From the minute I walked in I felt as if I were interrupting something. I was greeted but I had to ask all of the questions; where is the room; tell me about breakfast etc. Nothing was offered. The room was in the basement with 1 window. Comfortable but dark. I informed them 3 times about being a vegetarian and...

We have stayed at The Oak Street Hotel many times, in several rooms. It would be difficult to choose a favorite since each one has a unique personality, and all have had excellent beds. Upon check-in each guest is asked what time they would like to have breakfast. Every time the breakfast is different but always delicious - don't miss...

This is one of the best located properties in Hood River. I would not recommend staying here if you are traveling with a dog though. They have one pet room, but it is very cramped and located right by the restaurant/bar that is next door. The people that worked at the restaurant went in and out of the side door...

We stayed in room #2, in the back basement with an outside entrance. There is no soundproofing in the walls and we were unable to sleep due to conversation from the neighboring room. The bathroom was 2 steps up, separated only by a curtain. While the front of the building was attractive, our room was small and utterly lacking in...

We had a one night stay on our road trip between Portland and Snoqualmie. We'd decided that Hood River looked like the nicest place to stop even though it wasn't anywhere near halfway on our trip. We'd assumed we'd just end-up in a motel or the Best Western but as we were driving around Hood River we noticed the Oak...
