We stayed two nights in this historic hotel. Great location downtown, near the railroad tracks and pressed between the freeway and Oak, the main street in Hood River. The hotel wears it's age well. Our second floor room had a decent view over the freeway to the river and White Salmon Washigton on the cliffs beyond. We miss the continental...

Small, but clean room right in the heart of downtown. You can walk to restaurants, bars, shopping and down to the beach of Hood River to watch the paddle boarders, sailboats, kite flyers, and people and families enjoying the beauty of the Hood River. There is a restaurant and bar connected to the hotel that served Norwegian food and drink...

Small, tastefully decorated, comfortable room. The lobby area is large and contains interesting historical photos and artifacts. The adjoining bar/restaurant was a bit loud during happy hour (as it should be) but was quiet by 10 o'clock. The staff was helpful and friendly. The elevator is old and a bit of an adventure. The location is in the heart of Hood...

I stayed for 1 night after hiking on Mt. Hood. It's a great location right downtown. I had a queen riverview room on the first floor. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. The lobby is large, with comfortable places to sit, and there is a restaurant/bar (separate ownership) off the lobby that serves a great Danish breakfast....

Old and charming. It is with in walking distance of a lot of attractions. Make sure you get a room with a large bathroom and a view of the river. Some rooms are really small. Well worth a visit. You can eat in the hotel but I recommend Bette's place for breakfast. Great choices around town for lunch and dinner.

The place has a great, large lounge area in the lobby! I was glad that they offered a free-parking tag to place on your car so you can park free. Friendly staff, etc.... but our room was very, very small. I know it's an old building, but maybe renovations should have included enlarging some of the rooms. Our queen-sized-bed room...

A fantastic deal during the summer weekends in Hood River. The nearest hotels to the downtown area will have rates starting over $200 a night. I encourage readers to click on Trip...

I was generally pleased with the hotel. The downtown location was fabulous- walking distance to shopping and restaurants and breweries! The hotel is very old though. The carpet seemed dirty to me. The queen size bed was comfortable and had nice bedding. There are portable air conditioning units in the room which make for a nice sound machine from the...

Don't expect anything modern about this hotel, however it's full of charme, very well located in Hood River (a few excellent restaurant at walk distance) and with a very friendly staff at a right price.

This historic hotel may not have a lot of "mod cons" but the place grows on you. there are some renovations going on in the front that make the hotel more inviting from the street. Our room was basic and faced a parking lot but we did have a view of the river. Trains stop one block away. But that...

we booked 4 nights at this hotel, after one night we moved out. The hotel's standard guest rooms are poorly equipped, and well below the standard of the PRICE the hotel asks for these rooms. Due to the installation of floor standing air condition units, the windows can no longer be secured and do not close to their original position- the...
