The rooms were comfortable and clean and the hotel is cute and nicely redone. Great location at a good price. Had a girls weekend of wine tasting and exploring the gorge and this was the perfect spot.

There could not be a better location, but it is a bit funky. We actually loved it, but may upgrade our "courtyard" room to an outside (view) room next time around. We seek out "worn elegance," and this would definitely qualify. Staff was absolutely wonderful. Don't expect the amenities of modern America. This is an experience. You can hear the...

We are so in love with this hotel! I would suggest it to anyone who wants to stay in a 100 year old hotel. Impressed with the cleanliness, the bed, the room is awesome. The hotel staff is great as well.

Built in 1911, the hotel combines historical ambiance with modern conveniences. Located downtown, it is in walking distance of all the local shops, micro-brewery and wine taste places. It rightly boasts “41 renovated guest rooms and suites, beautifully appointed in classic European style with all the modern conveniences.” Our “compact” room on the 3rd floor was a queen with a...

First off, if you go in knowing a few things you will like this hotel. Is it old, yes. Is it noisy having the train tracks nearby, yes. Are some of the rooms small, from some other reviews I can say yes to that as well. Is trying to find parking on the street inconvenient, yes. If that's not your...

This was a very cool, historic hotel in the heart of hood river. It had a lovely and charming lobby and restaurant. You must have the danish pancakes - they are quite good. They give you fresh baked cookies at check in, the staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean with large windows and charming decor.

Very historic place that was cozy and clean rooms. We had a view of downtown and the river. Bed was comfortable and we loved being downtown as we had late night Chinese food that you can walk to. Breakfast downstairs was Swedish and delicious.

We enjoyed our second stay at this charming hotel this past August. We stayed in the river view suite the first time, and the city view suite the second. Both were fantastic; however, I did enjoy the view of the river and the layout of that room a bit better. We were there during a bit of a heat wave,...

I was unable to adequately regulate the water temperature in the shower. Electrical outlets in the room also need updating. Nothing fancy but it is a nice old hotel. The front desk staff were pleasant, as was the lobby. Convenient downtown location.

We stayed in the Hood River Hotel for one night to accommodate a few trails we wanted to checkout in the area. The hotel seemed to be full of outdoor enthusiasts and we couldn't pass up the Sunday inexpensive deal on a room. We booked the hotel last minute and the only room available was a courtyard queen. A few...
