Turtle Rock is very nice beach camping. This is our third visit. We enjoy the large Rv sites and friendly staff. Good basic beach camping in a safe environment.
Some sites have semi-private spas. Our kids stayed in a nice cottage with a spa.
Our camping spot was right on Hunter Creek and walking distance to the beach. The staff there were very friendly and helpful. Even the folks that lived there full time were kind and considerate. Facilities were well maintained and the grounds were pretty.

I was just there for Memorial Weekend. I don't know who the manager was during your stay but the person in charge was very kind and hospitable. As for dogs I don't know about any kennel. There was a specific area that posted a sign for doggy potty duty and to please use the provided bags if you didn't have one to pick up after your pet. This was near the showers and human restrooms.
