We had a great meal in the Grand lodge and any one who is in the masons, would like it in the grand lodge, as it was a Grand lodge for masons, and there is a new building next door for the Grand lodge, the staff were great and friendly, and good rooms in the Grand Lodge. nice walk round... More

Difficult stay here. Could not get into any of the "down the hall" bathrooms ... had a total of 11 keys remade. Stayed in basement and it was hot - no air conditioning. If I opened the window there was construction noise. Room was not comfortable.

We decided to give the lodge a second chance as the first time we were disappointed. This visit was no different, sadly! Seen staff, several actually which not one of them looked up,greeted ,ask if we needed help or even smiled. After standing at the bar in Pats Corner for AWHILE, we left and went into lodge. Clearly a wedding was... More

We had a really nice nice time at the Grand Lodge the night we stayed. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. There was an outdoor balcony just down the hall and also a cozy sitting room with a fireplace at the other end. Shared bathrooms but they were spotless and I never saw... More

My husband and I are biking through the Willamette Valley using a company that will transport our luggage and help set up our route. Last night we stayed at McMenamin's Grand Lodge. It's a historic property with an interesting history. It's definitely worth taking the walking tour. The grounds are beautiful. The rooms are small and described as "European", which... More

Stayed 1 night, room 12. Pretty bare, but you know that going in. Old widows and orphans home. Rooms are small. Bed was nice. No ventilation to speak of, we opened the window which they advise could be a safety issue as provides easy entry to outside (room 12 is below grade). Common bathrooms were OK, pretty sparse. Hot tub... More

My wife booked this trip five and a half months ahead of schedule and we took public transportation all the way from Dunsmuir to Forest Grove and back. I have been here a couple times to dine and a couple times to watch a movie. I enjoy the movie atmosphere as it is quaint and comfortable (I like the couch seating). Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Make a grand escape to McMenamins Grand Lodge! It's all in the details here, with the stately columns and winding drive, wide green lawn, 77 European-style guestrooms, restaurants, movie theater and small bars and some of the most fantastic artwork to ever grace these walls. Built in 1922 as a Masonic & Eastern Star home, the Grand Lodge has stories to tell. Renovated and opened by McMenamins in 2000, what was once tranquil and serene is now vibrant and colorful. Here the walls do speak... As do the doorways, the hallways, and even the overhead pipes. (Look up...)Inspired by the history of the city of Forest Grove and the building itself, McMenamins' artists have infused the Grand Lodge with original artwork and historical photographs - all tributes to the cast of characters who left their mark before us. ... more   less
