Was headed to Eugene for an event had seen this place in the past and figured I would give it a try. Booked a room on line then when I showed up the driveway was blocked by fencing (but you can see cars and people inside) . Went into the "lobby' and the person there told me that the hotel had been closed since Nov 2020. So not sure what is gong on with the fenced in people but seems that this place is closed for regular guests at this point
Wish I read the reviews before booking. Called the morning of the visit and asked if it would be possible to get a rollaway in the room because I was traveling with 2 -15 year old kids. The person on the phone was very accommodating and told me everything would be taken care of. Arrived at the hotel only to be told that the “guy was new” and no roll away could be placed because of room size. When I asked for options, I was basically told there was nothing I could do. I asked if I could just cancel the room because I was promised something they couldn’t deliver. Now I’m stuck with a tiny room and crammed in. The “manager” at the desk was extremely unfriendly and not helpful at all. Will be speaking to the overall hotel manager.
Let me start out by being there, the hotel is cute cozy affordable but the business ethics are far from normal shady downright thievery. And like I said I will be honest, rented three nights I’m working up here my wife and relatives that were sick with the Covid so I took my 13-year-old boy with me , And he stayed in the room for eight hours while I went to work they didn’t even know it’s there he didn’t harm nothing he’s more mature than the people that work there so they double charged me $72 which they did return I paid for the room and they charge me $150 deposit that night I called the front desk guy over to help hook up the PlayStation to the TV knowing my son was there well we were lying in bed for me to get up to go to work the next morning and a intoxicated woman next-door proceeded to be on my door and make a freaking Rucus to the point I couldn’t sleep I called the front desk but that’s besides the point. They found out my son was staying there while I was at work the last night because he locked himself out of the room so I get a threatening phone call which I took care of the matter we had a night left and I moved us to a real hotel that tends to the average person not their way. So after I had a con for station with the manager she got pissy with me and I return the favor getting pissy with her stating the facts like I said I’ll be fair well All of a sudden I called to see where my $150 deposit is they start making up fabrications of a towel first it was stolen then it was soiled than the rollaway bed was used I mean they just did everything in their power to Steve $150 because I stood up to the lady the manager well little did she know my wife is a reporter little does she know I already filled out a complaint to the Better Business Bureau people watch yourself if you stay here the manager is a thief pure simple thief she think she can take your money and he didn’t even tell me how much money he was taking off my card for deposit when I checked him he just did it after double charge me twiceSo be careful if you stay here watch your wallet because she will do you even look at her wrong she gonna take your deposit she’ll make up fabricate lie just like a thief well to get your deposit I will not let the Cisco I am going to have my wife write about it in the newspaper and she will get $150 that she stole for me out in bad publicity be very careful at this place they are thieves…
I have stayed in hotels all around the world, nice ones and cheap ones, but this hotel by far is the worst experience I've ever had. The customer service was absolutely horrible! Then they demanded a $250 deposit for a room that costs $50. It's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard, and I've never had another hotel anywhere charge me that kind of deposit. They also refused to let me cancel the reservation once I was informed about the deposit. So either I had to let them run my card for the deposit or lose my money I paid for the room. NEVER AGAIN! Too many other good, inexpensive hotels in Eugene and Springfield to bother with this dump!
Friendly reception upon arrival. My earlier request to get a quiet upstairs room had been ignored, but the front-desk gentlemen took care of it. I received a queen bed room with a sofa and coffee table, desk and chair, dresser, fridge with freezer shelf and a microwave oven. All clean and satisfactory. A grab-n-go breakfast was presented in the lobby in the morning including yogurt, oat & honey bar and a small muffin. One had to make coffee in the room, which was not good (I like it strong).
After I showed them my bank statement as proof that I was double billed for my room the manager still refused to refund my money and she was extremely rude and disrespectful. I would never stay here again and I definitely wouldn’t recommend it unless you wanna pay double for your room!
OMG she is the sweetest person and so over the top great at her job. She will go out of her way to make sure you have everything you need and then some, and do it with a smile the whole time :) Been here for work quite a bit and that smile and great attitude has not left her once. 5 stars for sure for her alone!
There is only 2 things that I would do to make this better. Take the door off the bathroom altogether and put a bath mat in the tub. The bathroom is so tiny, it's almost claustrophobic. But the beds, even though the mattress was very firm, were comfy and the pillows were amazing.
I selected this motel since it was close to the highway, but far enough away for the noise, it was affordable and had a swimming pool. Check in went smooth and just like most of the hotels they need a security amount ($50.00).....I hate that since the do not pay me a security amount or refund when the room are not as advertised or promises not met! Room is big enough but a bit outdated and the beds are small doubles but they sleep well. There is room enough for bigger beds, please get rid of the old chair, so hopefully they will install maximum size queen beds when they renovate. Airco is antique and makes a lot of noise just like the fridge! My wife and kids went for swim, but when they entered the pool gate is was closed. It appears the pool is closed and will not be fixed this season is the pipes are rotten! They apologized, but no refund or compensation offered! Breakfast room is really small and the offered selection is the regular offered; toast, bagels, yogurt, coffee, tea, juice cakes etc. Would be smart if they turned the lobby in a big breakfast area since the present space really crimpy! A major renovation could make this a 3 star place to stay, but for now it is just 1.5* max.!…
Arriving at the hotel, I had a recent injury and I really needed to rest. Ali at the front desk was really nice and she accommodated me by allowing me to check in early. Overall, it was a great stay, the price was good, and so was the breakfast. Recommended!
