i have been coming here for years, and truly love it. Location is clearly perfect for anything UO related. Each room has its own motif, which is fun. The food is absolutely outstanding, and the bar is cozy and warm as well. Above all, however, it is the staff that makes the difference. They are like a small family, with...

This little boutique hotel is a good place to stay if you want close access to the University of Oregon. It's only a block away. We stayed here on a Friday night, and initially were put off by the service. We got there around 5PM, and caught the innkeeper just as she was leaving. She did stay to get us...

This inn is a gem in the middle of Eugene. There is no place close to the campus to compare to it. The food is so great we come there just for the food. The service is wonderful. This is not a cookie cutter hotel; it is a specialty sort of B & B and if you want the Holiday...

Eugene has a hidden gem in the Excelsior Inn. My husband and I have been staying in Eugene periodically for over 45 years, and I am so glad we struck gold! Not only is the Debussy room lovely and spacious, but the Bistro's food is obviously crafted with care. All the staff were helpful, but when we needed a place...

My boyfriend and I stayed here during a summer visit to Eugene. The Inn's staff was so welcoming from the start. After hearing of our early morning departure on our last day there (5 am!) they offered to make us to go breakfast boxes. The breakfast the first morning at the inn was lovely too, in their bistro. Their granola...

My husband and I have stayed here numerous times and request the DeBussy Room although we have also stayed in the larger Tschaikovsky Room probably 3x (next door). We obviously have no problem sleeping on the bed in DeBussy although a previous Review submitted on this site mentioned that the bed was uncomfortable. Since the Inn only has 13 rooms,...

Eugene has many terrific B&Bs and inns, but few if any can match Excelsior's location, just a couple blocks from the U of Oregon campus. Our room was not gigantic, but it was comfortable and fit a queen bed and a rollaway. The bed was fine, the rollaway a bit soft. Towels were thick and shower pressure was good. The...

6 months ago, I called over 50 places to find something for the olympic trials. There were NO rooms available in all of Eugene, but Excelsior initially only had 1 night available. They placed my son and I on a cancellation list and we managed to get lucky to have our entire stay with them. We had to change rooms,...

I have stayed here many times and find it just about the most lovely place to stay in Eugene!! Off Street parking behind the building. Great staff who know you by name; accomodating to late check in (I have had times where I couldn't arrive until late late in the evening), nice selection in the bar (which is beautiful to...

This Inn has a lot of potential. I can tell that its attempting to find its place in the old romantic, euro style bed and breakfasts. However, for almost $200 per night, it fails to deliver the quality that it should. My husband and I love b&b's, and I have never experienced such a horrible mattress in my whole life....
