I stayed at the newer Fairfield in May 2021. The room assigned to me faced Franklin Blvd. with a nice view of the Willamette River on the other side of the road. Unfortunately, I believe the builder failed to place sound proofing in the walls and the windows didn’t seem to provide any sound proof qualities either. The traffic passing by sounded like I had opened the window to make sure I got an ear full. I called the front desk to ask for a new room on the other side of the hotel and was pleased at how pleasant and responsive the front desk person was. I was immediately offered an equal room and ended up sleeping peacefully through the night. A nice hotel, but it does mater what side you are on.

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn for one night. The front desk person was very efficient and friendly and recommended several local restaurants for dinner as we checked in. Our room was updated and very nicely appointed, on a par with Residence Inn. The grab and go breakfast included options for hard boiled eggs, yogurt and juice, which was appreciated. We would definitely plan to stay there on our next visit.

A bit complicated by Covid. Bag breakfast before 7, apparently a hot egg sandwich after that. Everyone wearing masks. Room could be cleaner, usually shower glass is spotless, not here. Not sure what the procedure is for getting your room cleaned/serviced, I was here for 4 nights and never got my room cleaned. Perhaps at check-in there were some instructions I was not given. Long walk to get anywhere, plan on driving. Comfortable bed and good AC.

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you came to Fairfield. I hope you found some relaxation amid the chaotic times lately. We likely didn't convey the breakfast situation too well - We have grab & go bags from 6am - 10am. We have in addition to the bags breakfast sandwiches from 7am - 9am (We also make Vegan Amy's Burritos from 7am - 9am upon request). We are Not doing stayover service unless requested. This is because we do not want any of staff to enter a guest's room without their consent during Covid. We have a guest letter at the desk and on the bedside table describing the situation. Our area is still developing (Third hotel on our block just opened) we too are anxious for more businesses to choose our immediate area. A good cafe would be amazing for our guests, and admittedly for ourselves. We hope you visit again and please reach out if you need anything at all. We can certainly help.

Marriott wrote me back saying they would take measures to abate the bad smell in all the carpeted areas. DONT pay extra for a river view bcuz they don’t mention the freeway and trucks backing up just below your river view that’s a good 600-700 feet away. Staff was very nice. Pool was a joke 10x4x5 Covid breakfast was minimal.

Our property does not in fact have a hot tub. We do have a pool. You're correct our pool is only 5 feet (1.5 meters) deep at it's greatest. It is heated to 80 degrees which may still be frigid depending on the individual. The pool's interior length is 21' 8'', however that does include the 5' of steps descending down to the water. Staff most recently began carpet treatments with an elevator carpet treatment on this past Saturday. Carpet treatments will be floor by floor and ongoing as a project between engineering and rooms division. They were treated with deodorizer this past Friday (July 30th), however, that's only a partial treatment and we're much anticipating deeper conditioning treatments which don't mask the concern, but tend to take to solving it. One thing we'd always tell guests about the view: The river view is great from the highest floors and if you're able to disregard some degree of traffic noise. The river is 260 feet North of the hotel, however, the interstate is 475 feet to the west of the property. The rear upper floors of the hotel may be more optimal as a choice for a noise sensitive guest. However, as with all things there is the slight drawback that on either side of the property we do have occasional trains pass which are audibly noticeable. Train tracks are 616 feet Southwest of the property. If any noise is a concern we additionally do keep ear plugs on hand as well as white noise machines to help ensure sleep. I have stayed at Fairfield in Fl before so was prepared for Greatness what I got was much less. Room is fine. But after the going out for the first day and returning in the evening I find the bed unmade and wet towels on the floor. NO ON HAS BEEN THERE. Slight confusion on my part. After a trip to the front desk I am informed that they do it weekly and if you need towels etc call the desk. I am PO’d as this has never been mentioned to me. Well folks they sure as hell charged me full price. So we got a couple of towels and were told that there is a note in the room. So I go and SEARCH. So you can see the note and where it was.
Then there was the matter of the breakfast, pics included. None 2 pitiful little bags. Guess I can’t post more pics.
I’ll never go back guess you will decide if this is what you want to pay for. But I warned you

Dear Guest, You are correct. We are not doing stayover service unless requested. We are happy to provide service upon request. Per Marriott advisement we're not placing any staff in your room without your consent due to Covid. We do have a letter about this on the desk, at the bedside table in-room, and on a constant stream as channel 0 on the television. I do want to note, I don't disagree with your frustration at all. We enjoy offering ALL our amenities in full. Not being able to do so at the moment is short of the hospitality we seek to provide. We are doing the grab & go breakfast at the moment. [Normally] We have amazing breakfast staff and great offering. We are anxious to hear what Marriott's plans are for the breakfast offering for their hotels. At the moment it is wait and see. I believe their first focus is really the adherence to cleanliness standards. I am sorry the stay fell short of your expectations of greatness. I hope someday down the road we have a chance to host you again, and with a better result!

This hotel is located on Franklin Blvd fairly close to UO. Unfortunately they didn't do anything when they built it to minimize traffic noise from the road. You can hear every car that goes by. I woke up at 5 am because of the noise. We're gold level in Marriott Rewards and will never stay here again. The room itself was ok. It was small but fine, the bed was comfortable and it was clean.

Quiet and very clean. Professional staff and very helpful. We enjoy the flexibility of an early coffee and breakfast. The one area of improvement we would say is the need for more gluten free breakfast options, and oatmeal without sugar. Original oatmeal packets would be great, or regular cheerios for example.

Perfect for our one night stay. Easy on and off access from freeway and close to downtown and nearby neighborhoods. Clean and quiet. Friendly staff. The typical breakfast buffet is served with a smile. All good. This Springhill opened in 2018 so everything is fairly new.

Clean room, comfortable. No hot tub in pool area. Pool too cold for my family. The biggest issue we had was breakfast. The only meat was combined with a biscuit, so if you’re gluten/carb free, it’s difficult to separate the sticky biscuit, and the sausage was bland. Eggs were pre packaged mini quiche with spinach, which not everyone likes spinach in their eggs. Most hotel breakfasts keep things separate, like scrambled eggs, with cheese or something on the side to add yourself. And meats and breads separate, with a toaster. We had to find something else to eat at the airport.

Our pool is heated to 80 degrees and we do admit it can be a bit frigid for some guests. We respect your breakfast opinions. We have three different breakfast sandwiches. I would suggest if one if not to your liking asking our team if they'd mind cooking another for you as a custom request. We stayed just for one night on our way from the Bay Area to Seattle. The property is new, clean, and comfortable. The room is small, but large enough for just relaxing and sleeping. Water pressure in the shower is okay. Beds and linens are comfy. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Conveniently located close to the highway, but is not noisy.
