I am full-time caregiver for my mom who has Alzheimer's. So I was so happy when I saw that The Dundee was offering a significant discount for caregivers (and teachers). I booked a two-night stay to get away and recharge. I stayed in the Queen Hospitality room, and it was just lovely! There are so many windows that let in tons of natural light. They provide lovely products that are made in Oregon, such as bath salts for a foot soak, hand soap, and shower products.

They were not doing housekeeping due to COVID, but a simple call to the front desk and I was able to get more coffee, clean mug (they provide ceramic mugs and glass stemless wine glass, a very nice touch!), and even a microwave to heat up some food I had brought. The staff was friendly and helpful.

There was a significant weather event with ice storm and snow storm at my house. My husband thought it would be safest if I stayed another night so I didn't have to drive home on the icy roads. The Dundee allowed me to easily change my reservation for another night and even gave me an emergency stay rate, which was so very accommodating!

They offered to move my room when my neighbors' dogs proved to be annoying, and the manager even brought her own ice scraper from home for me to use when I needed it. There are several wine tasting rooms on site, though I was not able to try them because they were not open due to COVID or maybe because of the weather, not sure.

I will definitely stay here again, and I highly recommend The Dundee!

Us Oregonians have faced so many challenges this last year and we are so sorry that your little getaway turned into a snowy, ice storm! We are so happy to hear that given the circumstances, you were still able to relax and enjoy a little Staycay at The Dundee. As you mentioned, we love partnering with local businesses for our amenities. Our foot soaks, that are featured in our main Suites, have products main from actual Oregon Rain! And our manuka honey shower amenities come to us from our partners in Bend. Thank you for sharing your experience and we hope you get the chance to visit us again!

While touring the Willamette Valley, we are so glad we stayed at the Dundee in Dundee, OR. Don't schlep from Portland! Spring for this first-rate hotel, located at the foot of the Dundee Hills, which are literally covered with vineyards ready to host you for a tasting. It's in a building that looks like an office building, with wine tasting rooms on the first floor and 22 hotel rooms on the 2nd floor. Free parking. The rooms are large, with lots of plugs, light, good-smelling bath products and nice sitting areas. Blackout curtains and quiet at night. Request a room facing the hills or the corners for lovely views and quiet from the road. We signed up for a wine tour with Backcountry Wine Tours (also recommend), and they picked us up last and dropped us off first. This was super convenient. Dundee is a small town, so we dined (Joel Palmer House) and shopped (Albertsons, Red Hills Market) in nearby towns of McMinnville and Newberg. On a non-wine day, we hiked the Dundee Pioneer Cemetery to Harvey Creek Loop.

Thank you for taking the time to share your visit with future guests! We are in a great location for travelers that are looking to explore a diversity of wineries. Over sixty wineries and vineyards are within five miles of the hotel and we have five tasting rooms and a restaurant located on our first floor for those that want to stick close to "home". We are so glad you were able to take advantage of one of our recommended tour companies. They are experts when it comes to knowing the area!

In the heart of Oregon wine country, this location is perfect for wine tasting, both with a car and on site. There are five (5) wine tasting rooms located in the hotel, as well as another half dozen within walking distance from the hotel.
There are nearby restaurants in Dundee, that cater to your lunch and dinner needs. We liked the Red Hills Market for breakfast and coffee, but also open for lunch takeout sandwiches and dinner till 8PM.

We are so happy to hear you had a great little get away. You couldn't be more right, we have an amazing location for the wine lovers of the world with tasting rooms right on site and several within walking distance. Unfortunately our restaurant on site had to close due permanently; however, we are excited to be in the works of creating a new concept that won't disappoint! In the meantime, we have local eateries less than a mile from the hotel: Red Hills Market, The Dundee Bistro, Tina's and Trellis. All are great options!

I got one of their smallest rooms for one night, and loved my stay here. You don't have to walk far to visit some of the many, many tasting rooms in the area (like, just walk down the stairs!) and the hotel just has a nice, classy feel. Staff were super helpful and everyone followed protocol with wearing masks, distancing, etc. but their on-site restaurant was closed for obvious reasons, and I wasn't sure where to grab food unless I got back in my rental car and explored the area! Luckily I relied on some food I had that I brought with for the road trip. I'd stay again some time for sure.

Our cozy queens are the perfect fit for one night trips to the valley. Thank you for sharing your experience with future visitors. We offer four tasting rooms on our first floor and all of our guest rooms are located on our second floor. This is a great amenity for guests that want to experience wine from different AVA's, without even having to leave the property. Unfortunately the restaurant had to close permanently; however, we are working hard to bring in a new concept for visitors to enjoy. For guests that are unsure of where to dine, not too worry! At both entrances to the building we have "Local Eateries" posted for travelers to know who is open, hours of operation, if they offer wine sales to go, and how far they are located from the hotel (4 eateries are within a mile of the hotel). We look forward to your next visit!

We spent two nights here in a king suite, huge rooms friendly staff and very pooch pampering. We walked in the room there was a dog bed, food and water bowls and a chew toy on the dog bed, great touches. We are on a two week slow tour of the western US with our dog and this was the most accommodating. There is a large grassy area just across the street for god time. There were nice restaurants close by and many wineries as well including some at the facility. We will be back.

We booked the Squad room for a Girls Trip to the Wine Country. This was the PERFECT room for us. The bunk beds are so comfortable. We LOVED our stay and will be keeping this as a go to place for future trips. The kitchen area was big and kudos for having a wine fridge too!

The location was great to explore the wine country. Not to mention those in Dundee. The restaurants need to be expanded as there are only a few in town.

I would recommend that they add electrical outlets near the bunk beds as there are only two in the main room and they are not located near the beds. Maybe they could possibly add to each berth an electrical and USB outlet for charging and medical devices. Thankful that the staff found an extension that allowed one person to use it for their medical device.

The staff were very cordial and saw to every need we asked about. They practiced good hygiene and COVID regulations.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with our team and future travelers. You ladies were such a pleasure to host and we are glad we could accommodate all your requests in a safe manner during this new normal. The town of Dundee is quite small in itself but wineries are plentiful. We have five local eateries with several more just four miles away in our neighboring city of Newberg. We appreciate your feedback on the design of the room and this has prompted some conversations for how to better suit the needs of guests that stay in this magnificent space. We are delighted to be your "go to spot" while visiting the Willamette Valley.

We also allow only one check in at a time in the lobby, additional check-ins are requested to wait outside. The Inn has been updated and looks clean and refreshed but the best part is the new windows. On my last stay, I couldn't sleep because of highway noise, this time, with the new windows, slept like a baby. The staff is lovely. It would be nice if Babica Hen, the restaurant on site stayed open past 3pm but there are many other good places to eat especially in Newberg. There are 5 tasting rooms on the property and it is really fun to stay as a destination.

We truly appreciate you taking time to share your experience with future guests. Along with our new renovations, we are excited to announce that we are transitioning to a new name for our property as well. For guests that are looking to stay with us, we are now the Dundee - a Trace Hotel. We are working with our online partnerships to update this. It's amazing to hear that you noticed the difference of the new windows that we installed throughout the property. This has been an immense improvement from our previous windows and helps our guests to relax and rejuvenate while staying at our hotel. We hope that Babica Hen will resume dinner hours for the Summer season, but there is no guarantee. As you mentioned, there are several other options within one mile of our hotel that have scrumptious bites and of course, delicious wine! Come back and see us again soon!

This location is in a great spot to wine taste. I understand the whole COVID thing but we paid a lot of money to stay in a very nice room without daily Service (including coffee for one day) or the nice little extra's you might expect in Dundee. They have a beautiful CHAINED off fireplace gathering area, and not to be picky, but the the soap (seriously I thought I should take a picture) was 1 inch by 1 inch 1/4 inch thick. You wash your body and it could disappear! I will say the lotion was fabulous and I would like to know what company made it. The Cougar Crest Winery was the highlight of the hotel. Otherwise.... go to something less expensive and have another tasting!

Thank you for taking the time to share your visit with us. At The Dundee, we go a little bit above and beyond in regards to our heightened attention to safety for our guests and team as we are thrilled to not have a single case of COVID amongst our team or any travelers throughout the last 15 months. We attribute this to our laser focus on taking the highest precautions. All of our rooms are supplied with amenities for a two-night stay and any guests staying more than two nights, our team would love to assist and freshen up the space and restock with fresh linens and amenities. We also offer contactless amenity services and we can exchange outside of the guests door for anyone not staying longer the two nights for a contactless experience for their quick trip to the Dundee Hills. Today's announcement by the Governor has us jumping for joy for June 30th when we can find a new normal and get back to all the things we've missed and loved when staying at hotels. Should our guests ever need extra coffee or our locally made pomegranate soap from our friends at SLAB Soap, we encourage you to reach out to our front desk as we have an endless supply to accommodate all of our guests needs and be sure to check out the manuka honey body wash in the shower ( several of our guests request an extra one to take home, manuka honey is amazing!) Depending on the room type you stayed in, our standard rooms only feature manuka honey lotion made in Oregon from Accent Amenities. If you stayed in any of our suites, the foot soak lotion and bath salts are made from real Oregon rain out of Sherwood from Oregon Rain Soap Company. They are primarily wholesale at the warehouse but their products can be found at the “MADE IN OREGON” stores throughout the state. Unless you want our specific scent, you'll have to visit us again at The Dundee as that was crafted with the owners and our GM. It sounds like they made some great choices and we are so glad you enjoyed it. We can't wait for our guests to enjoy the beautiful restaurant patio again. As our new restaurant, Field + Stream, prepares to open next month, their patio space is unfortunately closed at this time. There are three other outdoor seating locations, two at the front of the building and on the South end near Cougar Crest for anyone looking to enjoy some fresh air. We hope you come see us again when our restaurant opens and the restrictions have been lifted. We will be excited to greet you, cheers!
