Lobby stinks. Room smells like cig smoke covered by air freshener. Torn lampshade hanging from lamp. Elevator out of order. Carpet coming up in room. Curtain broken. No hangers. All the room coffee packets leaking grounds. HOMELESS PEOPLE staying at the property...big pile of one persons stuff IN THE LOBBY. I have stayed with Comfort Suites fairly often in my job over the last 3.5 years, with fairly consistent experience. This place is absolutely awful, and I can't find a vacancy nearby for the next 3 nights so I guess I'm stuck. But I will be insisting on some relief from this stay, as this was just unbelievable.
Comfortable room and bed for our 10-day stay. Good sheets, etc. Heavy towels, though 100% cotton would probably be more absorbent than cotton/polyester blend. Bed so close to the wall on one side that it was hard to get out on that side. No lamp or bedside table on that side, of course. No alarm clock until requested at the desk. Likewise for facial tissue. Refrigerator needed defrosting—at least one inch of frost inside and outside the freezer compartment. Inadequate towel rack in the bathroom—barely enough for two carefully folded face towels and washcloths; nothing for bath towels. Towels replaced at unpredictable intervals or on request. Barely enough electrical outlets conveniently located for two people both using computers at the same time. Handy outlet and recharging station attached to the desk. Wi-fi signal strong, but speed never quite reached even 15 Mpbs; slowness noticed only when downloading a recorded concert. Breakfast items not adequately tended. Juice machine out of order and juice in cooler was not kept restocked. Good scrambled eggs and bacon or sausage. Kitchen workers had to be reminded to use masks. Guests frequently unmasked in the hallways and often smoking right outside the front door. Shower curtain rod in our room was secure and level, but the sagging rod problem was reported by friends in another room. Vertical grab bar by tub was appreciated. Very textured tub bottom good for not slipping while showering but hard on the bottom of a person taking a tub bath. Plenty of very hot water immediately available. The usual toiletries provided plus hand sanitizer. Digital air conditioner control worked well. Not the same type of control in the friends’ room. Some windows had screens; ours did not. With comfortable outside temperature many days and nights, we would have enjoyed fresh air and perhaps would have had less artificial room scent that still clings to our suitcases. We hope that soon the carpeting will be replaced by more sanitary hard surface flooring. We did not see any “sketchy” types in the parking lot, but we did wonder about two or three vehicles that had no license of any sort visible even though they were in different spots at different times, indicating that they probably were going on the road. All in all, acceptable, but we hope the place we have stayed for many years will be available for our next visit.…
I’m pretty realistic when it comes to expectations at a low star hotel, but the fact that the dresser was broken-drawers dangling, the phone was broken-had to use cell to let receptionist know, and there was no juice and coffee was empty by 9:30am was just disappointing. Also website says pool is open 6a-10p but in reality it’s only open 10a-10p. Oh and hot water for the shower only worked on cold and cold on hot.
My family picked this particular place to stay because we have stayed here in the past and had good experiences. HOWEVER, this time was FAR from good. We rented 2 rooms and this is what we encountered. The doors to the rooms didn't close unless you grabbed the door and yanked them closed hard. OUR FIRST ROOM: The bathroom was very dirty. No washcloths, 1 bath towel for a room that should sleep 4 people. The entry light didn't work at all. Curtains didn't close. Fridge didn't work, TV looked like if you touched it a great crash would occur. OUR SECOND ROOM: The toilet had a seat that moved when you sat on it. dirty pillows. The alarm clock was broken. The desk chair sank if you sat on it. The curtains didn't close and were even falling off the window. Beyond the 2 issues with the rooms the whole time we were there (a week) the public restroom in the lobby was NEVER cleaned, Walking down the interior hallway you could smell cigarette or cigar smoke as if someone had smoked in the building/rooms (last I knew ALL MOTELS are smoke free now). Then there were the OSHA violations that my husband and I both saw (i.e. elevator issues, mold to just name 2) Definitely do not recommend to ANYONE if you value your health and safety…
This the worst hotel I have stayed in. The wall paper was peeling on walls, carpet was dirty and I wore shoes the entire time. Toilet was leaning to one side and shower had no pressure. TV did not work and it took the desk clerk three trips to get the proper cable to fix issue. There were bugs flying around in the room, which was reported to desk. I had to beg for room/bedding/linen service. Breakfast consisted of a banana and breakfast bar in a sack. When "hot" breakfast was finally available, we were not notified. More long term residents than hotels guests with barking dogs and undesirable people milling about outside. Do not waste your money - this place is dump
The hotel is newer and in good condition. All the normal amenities. Due to Covid not serving normal breakfast. They had bags with an oat bar, water, muffin and a not so good egg sandwich. The tv remote is most unusual - requires two remotes and we could not figure it out. Might be good for tecky types. Desk clerk came and got it going. No restaurants near by. Dog friendly. It was ok
This was by far the worst hotel I have ever seen. Our room was dirty, carpet stains, broken closet door, moldy window jams, bathroom floor dirt, light bulb out in bathroom, hole in the wall, damaged furniture and dirty rolled up diapers on the roof outside our room. Phone and TV didn’t work. WiFi available network was vulgar with f&ck, b&@ch. My dog didn’t want to stay there. No one at the front desk and couldn’t leave a message so just left!
There was a sign in front indicating guests need to wear masks. Just inside there were 4 people sitting near the front desk person chatting away without masks. In my room there was a half used hotel toiletry on the sink. A used coffee filter next to the coffee pot. Someone's leftover in the refrigerator. The wifi never worked and I used my phone hotspot instead. I have asked twice asked for a receipt to be emailed to me. Still haven't received it. Overall a very unpleasant experience. The only positive is the that the bed was comfortable. There must be better places to stay in the area!
On August 7th, my mom and dad were arriving to celebrate my grandson's second birthday. It was a long drive from Southern California and proved to be too much for my dad. After checking in and barely making it to the room, my dad passed out and stopped breathing, leaving my mom yelling down the hallway for someone to call 911. My parents couldn't have been more blessed than to have these women on the floor that day. Quickly, one housekeeper called 911, while 3 more came to the aid of my dad and mom. Dad had made it into a chair but no place to rest his head, so one woman held his head up safely as the others attempted to calm my mom and assist in getting my dad comfortable until EMT arrived. My son and I came in moments after the first responders had moved him out to the hallway and I fell to my knees and prayed. Then, one of the housekeepers came to me, held me and prayed for us. These sweetheart angels were there for us until the moment we left. Rose, Shawna, Trinity and Shala...we will never forget the selfless, attentive love and concern you had for our family that fateful afternoon. And I know God won't either <3 This world could use more hearts like yours...Take care and God Bless!…
We stayed here so we would have a place to wait while my husband had a procedure done at the Kaiser Hospital. When taking my dog out there was a lady in the lobby yelling, cussing, and threatening someone on the other end of the phone. I told the clerk that was unacceptable and she stated she would take care of it. The lady was still there doing the same thing upon bringing my dog back in and the clerk was no where to be seen. I did not feel safe staying there with my daughter so I decided to leave. I spoke with the manager who stated she would investigate and get back to me. I called several times over 4 days and the manager kept saying she would call me back. She never did and is refusing to make anything right by us. I will not stay here again nor would I recommend anyone else.…
