We enjoyed our stay at this campground. We were RV camping. There are beautiful trees on the grounds. It's really the area that makes this RV campground so nice. There were bikes for rent which my children really enjoyed. They also enjoyed the swimming pool and the pancake breakfasts on the weekend. Our only issue with the campground was we... More

Nice size tent space and under the trees for shade. Nice location to explore nearby waterfalls and mountains. No "quiet time" enforced. People were loudly drinking and playing music until 2am. Also the very close train crossing startled us awake several times through the night. Pool, hot tub and bathrooms quite dirty. I didn't expect much from a campground but... More

A nice park in the woods, but when it rains, it is really muddy. Lots to do. Location is great, between the historic Columbia River Highway with it's falls, the Bonneville Lock and Dam, and Fish Hatchery, and The Dalles to the east. Staff were very helpful. Most roads are paved, but sites are gravel and grass.

The grounds are what you might expect of a typical KOA. Despite the limited number of bathrooms for the number of guests and the frequent trains it IS a nice place to stay. It is close to many places to see; waterfalls, good food, breweries and the river.

The campground is nice but next to train tracks. The train goes by a lot if that is a problem for you. It was not a problem for us and never heard it at night. Lots are level and ruffly paved. Lots are long and wide enough for slides. Good size for KOA. Water pressure good, cable good, WiFi good.... More

Owned and operated by a local family, this is a clean, well maintained campground with a nice, woodsy setting. Rates are reasonable and the staff are pleasant and professional. This is the only decent RV park in the area which can be accessed by rigs over 12 in height. I stayed here in my travel trailer. RV sites are large,... More

This is a nice clean place but the trains!!!!! The couple running the place were nice but we had a young couple smoking at the campsite next to us and an older couple getting drunk early in the evening across from us.

Ok, here is what I have to say about the trains. If you stay at any campground near the river in the gorge on either side, you will have trains! That is just a given for this area. The cabin was rustic and comfortable. They do have larger cabins with kitchenettes. The people are friendly. Bathrooms were clean. Price is... More

On the plus side it is cheap, located about half way between the Dalles and Portland, and the staff were friendly. We had a camp site for one night. The KOA was chock full of RVs and this made it a bit difficult. Worse, there is a railway line just outside the campgrounds that had trains all night, continually, including... More

The Columbia River Gorge has trains on both sides of the river! But...If you love the mountains rolling into the Columbia River, the Bridge of the Gods, Douglas Firs so huge and beautiful not to mention a campground the way they were meant to be! This campground encourages families to sit outside around a fire and enjoy moments together. This... More
