Amazing hotel! With this being such an old classic hotel I was pleasantly surprised about how large and updated the rooms were. Lobby staff were very welcoming, and valet was very informative and prompt.

Very upset. Our room was booked a month and a half in advance and when it got to the week of -our babysitter canceled. We called the Mayo 72 hours before our booked night to ask if we could just reschedule for another night and we were told no because the money had already been charged for the room. So...

Dear Jamie T, I am sorry for the inconvenience this might have caused you. You booked your reservation as a 21 Day Advanced Purchase, which means that you get a discounted rate, however you are taking the risk of not being able to cancel your reservation once within the 21 day window. Our typical cancellation policy is just 24 hours,...

If our one bedroom suite was more than $140/night, this would have been a 3 star review...but for the price, it's truly an amazing value. We booked a beautifully furnished, clean, modern suite, and it is fabulous. It has a full kitchen - a FULL kitchen - which I love, because I travel constantly, and I like to prepare my...

The Mayo hotel definitely has style. The moment you walk in you know this is not a cookie-cutter hotel chain but a hotel with history and character. The room I stayed in was very spacious with a huge walk in shower. The king-sized bed was of good quality. Amenities in each room include a coffee maker, large flat screen TV,...

I called to see if there bathtubs were big enough for two since my wife and I wanted to enjoy that. Obviously the guy didn't know so he put me on hold and I eventually had to hang up. I called back the front desk and no one answered the phone.

I stayed at the Mayo Hotel last year and have recently booked another mini trip in March for a workshop I'm attending downtown. I am more excited about staying at the Mayo than I am about any other part of the upcoming trip. It is a beautiful, comfortable, and pleasurable hotel and the staff are friendly and helpful. If you...

Physically, The Mayo Hotel is a good alternative to Tulsa's blander, corporate chain hotel and motel options. It is attractive, stylish, and comfortable - although as another reviewer noted, the HVAC system is startlingly loud, which could be a problem if you're particularly sensitive to noise. Service, however, is lackluster and casual - doesn't match the hotel's snazzy premises. It...

I travel a lot and I understand that hotels can overbook and problems occur. In my experience the hotels are usually professional and make some effort to accommodate the customer . . . not this place. We booked late and had to get a non-refundable room rate -- I got the confirmation and we left on our trip. When we...

Dear MrFooter, I am the first one to admit a mistake, swallow my pride and do everything I can to correct it. Fairness and dedication to our guests is always my number one priority, but I do not feel that you are being fair with your review. It is a fact that the hotel was oversold due to an unexpected...

This is a really cool, historic hotel. However, they are missing some steps. I've stayed here a few times and had more pleasant experiences than this last one. First of all, my wife took a 10 minute shower and when I got in afterward, there was basically no hot water left. I don't know if I have ever stayed at...
