My family and I visited LeMoines Lakehouse this fall. We were very pleased with the Hocking Hills area but had a negative rental experience with Clover Retreat. Just a few points: The cabin is outdated and needs remodeled. The cabin smelled musty throughout and like sewer near the kitchen area. The hot tub had so much chlorine in it that...

This is, hands down, the worst rental experience in my life. When we arrived to Reed's Point, the cabin was dirty. For example, we found mouse traps under the kitchen counters, the grill cooking utensils were laying on the deck in a pile of leaves, the bed linens were dirty, the deck table and chairs were filthy, and there were...

This cabin is terrible!!!! My family and I stayed in this cabin in June. We were very disappointed as soon as we arrived. Not only is the cabin filthy, it has a terrible odor. We were so disgusted by the amenities, we contemplated leaving the moment we arrived. The linens were dirty, the couch was stained with an odd liquid,...

I have stayed at Clover Retreats 3 or 4 times. The last trip I was with my family which includes two children under 10. We loved the cabins, the kids loved the pond and enjoyed fishing, even caught some nice sized bass. The fire pits and hot tubs create a really nice atmosphere. I have stayed here in the past...

I only have wonderful things to say about Clover Retreats. My family and I have stayed in every Cabin but one. This will be our 4th year we plan to go. We have never encountered a dirty cabin. Never had issues with the air conditioning and the cleaning service came each day to make sure we had clean towels. and...

My friends and I stayed at the Clover Retreats Ridge Retreat cabin for the 2010 new years eve weekend and were very displeased. Two out of three of the beds had significant amounts of mouse poop underneath the covers which indicated that the beds had clearly not been stripped and cleaned for our stay and who knows when they were...

This cabin is filthy and disgusting! My husband and I stayed with our kids (3 & 5 yrs old). The photos on line are misleading. The attic (loft) was too hot for the kids to sleep in even with the ac running at full blast and a floor fan. The main bedroom is incredible small, with a very LOUD water...

pros & cons - pros: close to columbus, lots of stars visible at night, quiet surroundings (if you don't mind hearing roosters crowing early in the morning or late in the evening) relatively clean (except we had to clean all the dishes, glasses, pots/pans, flatware before using). the flatware tray was so discusting we had to clean it. dish towels...

Clover Retreats in Rockbridge, Ohio (Hocking Hills) is located at cloverretreats.com. The pictures on their website looks much better than reality. They have 3 cabins all which need remodeled. They plan to remodel but I am not sure how far they will go with the remodeling. They have alot of work to do. The price is ok but not great...

“The cabins are about a 15-20 minute drive from the main drag/caves/gas station, etc. We didn't mind the drive but some folks might. Bring a hair-dryer if you use/jneed one. Bring bottled water. Bring fire wood (we could have found wood on the property, but it had been raining so much, it was pretty wet, so we bought a bundle for the fire pit). Find out about wifi before you drive in and lose service. Bring a set of beach towels if you plan to swim or use the hot tub. There was a set of towels (but 1 each per person, again, we made do, but if you prefer to have a separate towel for lake/hot tub vs. bath/shower, bring a spare).”
