Compared to some of the other hotels, this one is far enough away from the noise and bustle of the bars and clubs, but also close enough to walk to the main strip within several minutes. An array of different pools are available, the channel selection is nice and the red lighting keeps away excess bugs, especially the May flies...

This place has a great location, it's in walking distance to everything! There are several restaurants, bars, a pool with a huge pirate ship, and wineries! With a friendly staff and reasonable rates, I'll be sure to stay here again. :) :) :) :)

Came on a Monday first day was great. Blonde boy at the front desk was kind and friendly and welcoming. Anthony at the dizzy Lizard was the same, full of info as it was my first time to put in bay.Woke to the polar opposite! The girl at the front desk was mean and refused to even look at me...

We stay every year at this place and its always a blast! a little more relaxed during the week and a bit more wild on the weekend. Newly renovated rooms and you can walk everywhere on the island. We can't wait to go back!

Not bad at all, and they have newly renovated rooms with brand new carpet and bedding. I like it especially due to location. My husbands band plays at the beer barrel several times each summer and this hotel is right behind there, so very convenient. Nice pool. No breakfast but with, golf cart package good deal for week days, unfortunately...

Considering this is mainly a college party type of hotel I expected a less attractive hotel. Instead I was surprised to find it rather clean and cute. Very friendly staff as well. We did visit during off peak season but the hotel was much better than anticipated considering we only paid roughly $150 a night compared to what they advertise...

Cons - Disgusting rooms, over priced, rude front desk staff, wifi sucked Pros - Good location, friendly bartenders and security, the grounds and pools appear to be clean. Coming from Chicago I thought the drinks were reasonably priced. The DJ/music could be put under both con and pro. I liked it but there was a lot of old school music....

For the price I expected more. The most noticeable thing was the musty odor in the rooms, turning up the air did not help. Nor did the air freshener that was left on the air conditioning unit. Someone is obviously aware of the problem. There is only a ceiling light in the bathroom which leaves the mirror poorly lit. The...

Let's start with the pro's as there are very few... 1. Location: very close proximity to bars/entertainment/etc. 2. Pool & swim up bar are a good time and that's where it ends. Here are the cons: 1. Overall smell of the hotel...from the hallways to the room a smell lurks about of stale beer, urine, & mildew/mold 2. Lack of...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Islander Inn is Put-in-Bay's first and largest Caribbean style resort. We have 115 rooms surrounding 4 swimming pools including a large heated pool, conversation pool with a waterfall, 30 person jacuzzi as well as our swim-up-bar pool. The Islander Inn also features the island's original swim-up bar, The Dizzy Lizard. The Dizzy has 9 seats in the water and and seats on land. This is the bar that changed how afternoons were spent on Put in Bay. At the back of our courtyard sits Crash Landings, a bar with an airplane crashed into the top of it. Both of these are open from mid May through mid September, weather permitting. Located between the Islander Inn and our sister hotel, the Grand Islander, sits Put-in-Bay's #1 afternoon hotspot Splash! Splash is the World's Largest Swim-up Bar. We have 97 bar seats in the water and 120 chaise lounge chairs outside of the pool for sunbathing. With live entertainment on the weekends and plenty of other fun during the week, Splash is definitely the place to cool off and have a cold drink with your best friends. Overlooking Splash is The Flaming Skull. The Skull is a full scale pirate ship that sits next to Splash. Guests can walk up on the deck and watch out over the pool while having a drink at the 80 seat bar. Get your picture taken with the captain so your friends will believe you when you say you were on a pirate ship on Put-in-Bay. We are located right in the heart of downtown Put-in-Bay and are within walking distance to most of the major attractions. Should you want to explore the island a little more, we do have golf carts available for rent at our Front Desk with some of the lowest rates on the island. You can rent a cart for a couple hours or go all day if you want. ... more   less
