Nothing special here, the hotel is called The Elms, not the Holiday Inn. First it's hard to get a room here since they block most off the weekends off for "special" people. I got 1 to pick my daughter up, shocking. Like all the other reviews the noise level from outside the hotel is high, from drunk college students to...

Birthday treat for my wife. We stayed for two nights only but we were impressed by the staff at front of house, restaurant and house keeping. The room was everything one would expect for a prestigious chain like Holiday Inn and the breakfasts were excellent. We didn't dine there as Oxford has so much to offer but judging by breakfast...

Room was very spacious & bed was nice and comfy, but unless you are a night owl or party animal this hotel is not for you!!! Stayed here for an educational conference & it was VERY difficult to get proper sleep! And that is all before you consider the hefty deposit that was required & then the balance having to...

My family of 6 stayed overnight in a king suite adjoining a queen suite. Both rooms were large and seemed to be clean although we all have bug bites we didn't have the day before. Both rooms have lots of wasted space, and I am not sure why they are classified as suites-- maybe because they have kitchenettes? The front...

I have stayed here a few times and like other reviewers find the location convenient for the campus and uptown bars and restaurants. But it is very noisy from the street noise, hallway traffic and hotel equipment,I.e., HVAC? Don't plan to get a good night's sleep. The staff is not friendly or accommodating and the rooms are very ordinary in...

If I didn't have to attend swim meets at Miami University and if there weren't only two decent hotels in town, I would NEVER stay at this hotel. I've stayed at it several times and all the negative reviews are dead on. The staff is rude, beds are uncomfortable, the rooms are small and they totally stick it to any...

This hotel is fine and in a great location if you are visiting Miami University. The staff has been nice, the room is clean and comfortable. Except the PILLOWS, which are like bags of cotton balls. Please do your guests a favor and get some decent pillows. If I return, I will bring my own pillow😔

The hotel itself is pretty nice but it is on the walk home from the bars. There was so much noise from drunk college students walking home and talking VERY LOUDLY and singing, laughing etc. there is no sleep to be had from about midnight until 2:30am. The hotel is located right downtown so you can walk to restaurants (and...

Hotel is located just off a High St., the Main Street for bars, restaurants and shopping. So from that standpoint it's good. But the noise from the trash truck emptying beer bottles at 5 am or the kids screaming and yelling outside your window all night, make this an unacceptable hotel. Lobby is nicely furnished as are the rooms. The...
