After reading some less great reviews about the View cabin from previous travelers, my girlfriend and I didn't know exactly what to expect when we stayed for one night in the View in mid-August. We were very pleased. The cabin was clean, cozy, and secluded. The cabin itself has two rooms. One room has two beds, a toilet, a shower, and a sink. A twin bed is lofted perpendicular to a queen (I think it was queen, at least) bed below it. It's kind of an unorthodox setup that we weren't sure about going in, but it worked just fine. You can't see the toilet when you're lying in the bed. The other room is a large, tall room with a kitchen area (microwave, sink, but no oven or stove) and living area (couch, TV, etc.). This room has sliding glass doors that lead out to the porch. The porch is wooden, raised from the ground, and features a couple of swinging bench chairs and a hot tub. The cabin overall was wood on the outside and inside, giving it a nice cozy feel. It was very clean; I didn't see a single bug, dead or otherwise, inside the house during our stay (We did cover the bottom of the front door with a towel as a preventative measure, though, because there's about a 2 millimeter gap underneath). The hot tub was clean. The cabin is situated in some woods, with a fire pit behind the house. When we stayed, there was a lighter and fire starting brick in the house. I don't know if it was left by the proprietor or by a previous tenant. The location is great; most of Hocking Hill's recreational activities are right nearby. I didn't have more than one bar of Verizon cell service anywhere in the region, so consider physically printing out directions to and from the cabin. We booked it over the phone by speaking to Bob, then he emailed us instructions for getting to the house and where we could find the key. We never actually met Bob in person. We would stay here again!…
