I've been coming to Lakeside since my childhood, in the early 1960s, and for all of my visits over the last 35 years or so, I've stayed at Hotel Lakeside. It's a priceless historic building that, yes, in comparison to modern hotels, has small rooms and lacks luxuries. But you simply can't find this kind of charm at more than...

First, we didn't actually stay at the hotel, we just had lunch in the dining room. The hotel itself looked very charming and we would have enjoyed staying there. The dining room was cute and had a lot of charm. Our waitress was (Taylor) absolutely delightful! When we went, it was the last day the restaurant was opened for the...

We loved the history and ambiance of this hotel. We stayed in a room overlooking the lake, everything was spotless. The staff was very welcoming. I highly recommend making reservations for the dining room, the wait times were pretty long.

I hate to write anything negative about Lakeside because it really is a great family experience. However, if you go, don't bother eating at the Lakeside Hotel. My family & I were there for the week & decided to eat at the hotel for my birthday. There were six adults & two children - only one adult & a child...

I grew up going to Lakeside and actually worked in the dining room here as a teenager. I thought it would be a nice trip down memory lane to stay here. The dining room was lovely with a gorgeous view of the lake. I loved sitting on the huge front porch rocking in the rocking chairs as my friend and...

We apologize for issues you experienced while staying at Hotel Lakeside. Our vintage hotel's proximity to the lake does present a challenge in keeping up with the daily stream of spiders and insects. Thank you, however, for sharing your feedback and review. The A/C noise is something I wish we would have had an opportunity to address for you during...

I only spent one night but I found the place charming though slightly tired. The big draw is that it is right on the lake which makes it a lovely place to relax either sitting in the gated porch of the hotel, or in the restaurant facing the water, or on one of the benches that line the lake, or...

Let me start by saying that the front office staff was very friendly and they moved us to a different and somewhat cleaner room. When we arrived, we were given Room 518 which is on the second floor of the hotel. Now I know that the hotel is old and historic, etc, etc. But this room looked like it hadn't...

The historic Hotel Lakeside offers an authentic Lakeside experience. I have stayed here numerous times and have been a Lakeside regular for 30 years. Yes, I have stayed other places, but the charm of this place and the friendly staff make it feel like home. If you're looking for a quaint, lovely room furnished with antiques, a comfortable bed and...

Old, rustic hotel on the shores of Lake Erie in the gated community of Lakeside, OH. Nothing fancy, but certainly functional when it comes to amenities. The restaurant is under new management and it has definitely improved for light breakfast and lunch fare. The attraction to this area is the outdoor activities, so we don't spend much time in the...

The location wins the visitor over. Right on Lake Erie. The wide wrap-around screened porch draws folks for rocking, reading, writing, chatting, card-playing, or just plain lazing while listening to the lake. The rooms are...serviceable. No bedside tables for glasses, clock, book. Only two pillows, which makes it difficult to read in bed. Only straight back chairs in room, no...
