We spent 2 nights at this beautifully designed and built cottage and were welcomed to the life of the village and our hosts Gil and Diana, such an interesting and friendly couple. Gil gave us such an insight into his work as a poultry scientist as we toured the little farm and sampled the different apple varieties. The cottage was...

We were warmly welcomed by fellow pre-West Australian couple, Gil & Dianne (who spent time showing us the property's gardens, chickens & ducks. The Linden cottage is cosy with the fire going & kitchenette has all the amenities required for cooking dinner or the next morning's wonderful breakfast hamper including fresh eggs & homemade homegrown fruit jams! My little one...

My friend and I recently stayed in the Linden Cottage for 3N. We arrived a little later in evening and were straight away welcomed by Diana who already had our fire going. Both Gil and Diana were very accommodating and so helpful. Gil had maps printed for us and explained all the areas / sites we should go to. This...

Excellent place to stay during the hideaway trip in Tasmania. The campus is around 1.5 acres with ducks, cat, chicken. The hosts are very hospitable and helpful with anything one would need during the stay. It is a very quiet area and there is a beautiful, excellently maintained garden just outside the Elm Wood cottages. All in all, I would definitely want...

My partner and I spent 2 nights in the Linden Cottage at Elm Wood and it was the most beautiful spectacular accommodation we've stayed in, especially in Tasmania. Made us feel very at home and the fireplace in the cottage was an extra special addition, especially considering Tasmania's temperature in September. The hosts were both extremely friendly and helpful and...

On a recent "escape weekend" to Tasmania, our third trip to Tassie, we had the good fortune to stay at Elm Wood in the Holly Cottage. Gil and Diana are very gracious hosts who made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. We arrived late in the afternoon and Gil had already set the fire in our...

On our recent trip around Tasmania we stayed at Elm Wood Cottage initially for three nights in Linden Cottage, it was like home away from home. Westbury and the surrounding area is a very interesting part of Tasmania. Thanks to Gil's special illustrated map we did not miss any interesting places. The last night before returning to Sydney we stayed...

The Elm Wood accommodation is set with nice peaceful surrounds. The hosts are very friendly. There is lots to do in and lots to see in the near by area. We will certainly consider staying there again.

“The property has a SUBSTANTIALLY stocked mini bar with approx. $270 worth of alchol! . It may be wise to request that it be emptied before your arrival to avoid any angst should the contents not match the list. ( Speaking from experience).”
