We stayed right on the street in one of the quaint little cottages. Absolutely fantastic. The cottage was very modern inside, roomy, well appointed with a bathroom that worked well. A few couple of steps down the road and you are in Banjos, Hamers and right across the road from the cruise boats.

We were met with, what I now consider standard, a very friendly reception staff who provided us with a great amount of information. Although old, our room was very clean. We ate in the dining room for dinner - smorgasbord - and the size and variety of this smorgasbord is something to behold. We considered it great value for money....

This is a motel type property. It is quite a walk up a lot of stairs from the office on waterfront to the village, so most people would need a car. It appears that, like most of the accommodation in town, it is run by the RACT. The meals in the restaurant were good, as was the service. Rooms were...

We stayed 2 nights after travelling from Hobart. We stayed in room 2217 with a great view of the village from our balcony. If u don't like stairs or a steep walk up the hill u will have todrive your car everywhere. We had breakfast before the Gordon River cruise, good variety. Dinner a bit expensive at $55 per head,...

We stayed 3 nights in one of the harbour view rooms, in "Huon" room 1122. The location was just perfect for us. Easy to pack and unpack the motorcycles with parking right out the front. The bakery next door do a great cooked breakfast and the pub food at Hamer's Hotel was top notch. Our room was very cosy. Great...

We had a room higher up the hill with a great view of the harbour. It is not cheap but there is little competition in Strahan but was worth the money. The bar area is nice but the retauarnt only offered a buffet dinner at $55 per head or a couple of tasting plates which did not suit us. The...

Probably our 5th or 6th motorcycle adventure down here, just a wonderful destination after a brilliant journey. We stayed in the hill top units this time, a touch dated but very clean and extremely comfortable. We'll be back again next year.!
