We stayed here as part of a group. The accommodation was clean, if a little dated, but comfortable and well appointed. Meals were served in the restaurant with a wonderful view over the lake. We had a buffet dinner which was excellent...great fresh seafood and a good hot roast beef option for those who wanted an alternative. The breakfast food...

We stayed in the Gordon accommodation and it was nothing more than a basic functional old hotel room. Peeling peach paint, overpriced buffet breakfast and dinner, noisy wooden building, unusably slow WiFi, thin pillows, this is what you'd get for $66 in any other rural Australian town 30 years ago. The staff were friendly and helpful, the position is good,...

It was that moment when you walk into your room and go WOW. Service was first class. The room with a view is a must. All we were looking for and then some. There were no negatives here. Highly recommend this hotel. The best we stayed in, in Tassie.

Frontier Town central. Busy little spot with little to offer besides the normal flakey touristy offerings. Fantastic spot if your able to take advantage of the outer lying wilderness. This is nature in the raw. Lots of quirky architecture, people and long neglected wharves and sundry maritime oddities. Definitely be back, hopefully by yacht! Nice to support local businesses but...

We were looking forward. To a visit to Strahan and I conducted an internet search for a property on the esplanade. I was pleased to find what looked like a good deal at Strahan Village which is listed as in the esplanade. Unfortunately when we arrived we found that the reception was on the esplanade but the rooms were on...

We stayed for two nights in early February. The village is quite pretty nestled in the historic buildings of Strahan. It's a good location, right on the esplanade and near the cruise ship terminal, restaurants, souvenir shop and woodwork shops. It's a short drive to the station for the west coast wilderness railway as well. The only negative for us...

It seems that Strahan is a "company town" wih just about everything owned by the Royal Auto Club of Tasmania.[accomodation, Hamers Hotel, bread and coffee shop; Macquarie Harbour tour boat] 1. The staff service and courtesy was simply excellent. Clearly management of RACT invest heavily in training and it shows. The staff are just so helpful, friendly AND natural. 2....

We only stayed a couple of nights as we were only passing through. We only booked the basic garden room, however it was well above expectation for the price. Clean, well appointed and no complaints at all. The main hotel has the bar and restaurant. The best view in town without compare. If you are an auto club member, 25%...

Stayed 3 nights. Really enjoyed our stay here. We only booked the basic 'garden view' room as we were going to be spending the majority of our time away from the room. The room, for the price, was surprisingly very comfortable. Very clean with nice amenities. The view from the room was the car park but we weren't there for...

We booked a Hilltop Executive Harbour View with breakfast for 2 nights. As others have noted the room was of high quality and the views exceptional. The toiletries were the best we have ever come across. There were just a few negatives. The free wireless internet struggled the whole time we were there. (My wife said lucky she paid some...
