The beds were comfortable and kitchen well stocked with cooking gear. I must admit I was a bit put off by the dank smell and it took some burning of scented candles and a serious fire to make it smell better. Nowhere to put groceries so the bags lined the hall but otherwise all good!

We loved staying here. Nice old fashioned cottage and furnishings. Comfortable and plenty of room. Nice fireplace, comfortable lounge, good beds to sleep in. The king size bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable. We had great service with flexible timing offered due to access problems after snow falls. Highly recommended.

We found it very tired and dusty. We know old places can be dusty but we have stayed at many similar cottages in Tasmania on our travels on numerous occasions but never had this problem. We all had the sniffles by the time we left. You class this as 4 Star. The kitchen facilities were not up to standard to... More

My partner was quite apprehensive about staying here after reading some of the previous reviews which weren't really positive. We stayed in the one bedroom cottage (at the back of the building) and were pleasantly surprised, the lawn and garden are a little untidy but not a jungle but the blackberry does need to be addressed. The cottage is quite... More

We stayed in the one-bedroom cottage, and found it comfortable and good value for money. It's a slightly odd setup - no on-site manager, just the key left in the door and a welcome note. The cottage is an old building, but well-equipped and furnished, and the kitchen and bathroom were clean. However the place could use a bit more... More

Comfortable for 4 people but throwing in a fifth person and they need to sleep in the lounge room on a pull out sofa, so not really great if others want to watch television. Other main rooms very comfortable. Room with two (2) single beds could have a bunk bed and single bed to cater for families with 3 children.... More

There is a real shortage of accommodation is Strahan in the summer, so all sorts of places have been turned into tourist accommodation. This one is an old house that has been subdivided into two, to make 1 two bedroom and 1 one bedroom unit. Judged by conventional standards, it was pretty unimpressive. No on-site (or even nearby) manager. However,... More

On arrival we called to express our concerns regarding the service of the cottage (or lack of it), sheets were stained with body fluids, makeup and pubic hair, the shower had not been cleaned footprint stains and hair, toilet not clean flush buttons so soiled I had to clean it. Couch that uncomfortable we had to fold it out just... More

This house oozes old world charm - and provides all the creature comforts needed for a comfortable stay. Comfy beds, great fireplace, plenty of wood, functional kitchen - and clean, neat, and tidy. Close to all amenities and a great place to stay while exploring Strahan.
