It took me back to the seventies but don't be put off. This accommodation was spacious, clean and comfortable and in one of the nicest spots - out of the way, right on the water front. We had a front row seat to the steam train getting ready for the morning run and then returning in the evening.

Good clean room, with fresh towels each day, pub next door for good value pub meals. Good view across harbour to the town centre and the Gordon River Cruise Boats. Good base to take in Strahan's many attractions.

Four nights in Villa 4, 50 metres from the Wilderness Railway station (a must do!), and next to the Regatta Point Tavern - friendly bar and table service, reasonably priced tavern meals. The villa was clean, airy, spacious, quiet and well set up for self catering. The bed was comfortable, plenty of hot water in the good shower and a...

The place has very good location and very comfortable. Our self contained unit had everything we needed and was spacious. Unfortunately we stayed only 1 night there, but the place was so nice that we would like to stay longer.

Stayed here for one night, would love to have stayed longer. Had lovely meal at hotel of fresh ocean trout. Staff very friend friendly. Fantastic area especially at dusk. Rooms neat and tidy with all amenities. Would recommend and would love to come back in the future

Nice spot not right on Main Street. In opposite side of cove. Right near steam train so perfect for great pictures. Very old cabin but has been renewed a bit. New carpet etc. very clean and tidy. Bed very small but comfy and clean. That's perfect for tired travellers.

We were given a two bedroom unit at less than the price of a tiny cabin at the caravan park. It was quite 60s ish inside but tidy and very comfy. Felt like staying at Nanna's comfy and homey. Round table in bay window overlooking the bay, brass style bed with heaps of pillows, floral curtains and a bath! Unit...

We drove out to look at the scenic railway station, which is on the other side of the bay, and were pleasantly surprised to discover a hotel and bottle shop across the road. I had run out of beer - you don't want to be paying restaurant prices on a regular basis - and so went into the bottle shop...

You could be completely self-sufficient here. Our 'room' had kitchen, lounge, huge bathroom. All quite dated but clean and tidy. Right across the road from the heritage rail which would have been convenient if we were booked on it! On reflection, I would rather have stayed closer to town just for convenience sake. We could have walked places from here...

These villas were out-dated, reasonably clean and tidy with a good shower and comfortable bed. They provided all the necessities - full kitchen, kettle, toaster, microwave, air conditioner etc. We stayed two days. No room service as such. Just changed the towels. The location was beautiful. This property is the last on the Esplanade looking straight across Macquarie harbour to Strahan...
