The front of house staff were very welcoming and helpful. Swapping our two rooms to be adjoining. The rooms themselves are in dire need of renovations. I realize this is budget accommodation, but even the curtains are barely covering the windows. The appliances are noisy, the toilet in one of our rooms continued to flush ( we turned it off...

Staff good, sadly about the only good think about here, I have stayed before in water view room was ok this time was street view and it was just BAD.... Room was so hot, NO air-conditioning, no fans... had to ask for one then only got a small one, curtains faded and falling off hooks, carpet lifting, no wardrobes but...

Hotel Motel in good location in St Helens town centre with water views. However appearance reminded me of a 1970's time warp. Badly needs maintenance and upgrading. Fair value at $135 and $10 for breakfast. Ask for a room with water views as rooms overlooking road are hot and noisy. Staff were helpful and beer cold in the bar downstairs.

Warning to all tourists Do not stay here - worse than a backpackers hovel in a third world country. Facilities - none. No fan, no air-conditioner - when you turn the aircon on it is permanently set at 31 degrees Celsius which 2 degrees more than the outside air temperature. On Checking with the manager he replied "oh yes the...

It started to go wrong as soon as I checked in - I was handed a key for the motel side (although I had booked the hotel), and when I opened the door, there was a man inside wondering who I was! When I went back to the reception (well, the restaurant actually - the hotel reception closes at 5pm),...

The room we had was one of the budget rooms that opened onto the pool area by a back door. A fridge and basic kitchen facilities are provided. Bed was ok, but room were in need of an update. Although this was budget accommodation and we knew that. What we were unhappy with was that the Wi-Fi was NOT working...

This was our second stay at the Bayside Inn. The rooms are clean and comfortable and in a convenient location on the Main Street within walking distance to most things in St Helens. While it is an older style motel with dated decor, it is great value for money. I would rate it as good overall rather than average but...

We booked last min for 1 night stay. Room had 2 double and 1 single in 'budget' section of motel. Double bed was not very comfortable and room is a little old. There are other higher grade rooms available but they were fully booked. The room itself was quite large. Indoor pool very close. Location very good, in town close...

My partner and I stumbled across this restaurant whilst in St Helens for NYE. When we first walked in we were not greeted and not sure who to approach in relation to our booking. As we walked towards the bar we spotted our table with our name on it. This place is self serviced in which you walk up to...

The Inn has an unattractive exterior, but is located directly facing the sea and pier. The room is on the second floor, no lift, need to walk up stairs. The room has great sea view, with walk-out balcony. The sound barrier is not good, we can hear the noisy kids next door. The free car park is across the road....
