This is a lovely old house. The owners do not live here but are easily accessed. The accommodation is extremely comfortable and central to town. We stayed in the suite (very well priced at $145) which is well equipped and comfortable, with spa bath and separate lounge room. There are large TVs in both the bedroom and the lounge room.... Booked well in advance and received email from owner with details of location, amenities and key retrieval. The room was tight but okay for an overnight stay. There was free use of a fully furnished kitchen for those wishing to cook their evening meal. The included continental breakfast was basic but okay and we appreciated the gluten free bread being... Place was very clean and cozy. Bathroom is fairly new. Laundry is free which was very nice. Can cook your own meals in the shared kitchen. In center of town. So convenient to nice restaurant at the bridegroom hotel and grocery and liquor stores. All within walking distances

Firstly we were greeted by a disembodied voice and never actually met the person running the show! This is a lovely old building, and we had booked twin beds. We had what would have been the sleep out in 'olden days' While one room had a good bed, the other two were really closer to temporary beds with metal frames.... More

Lovely older home with 3 bedrooms. Comfortable bed. Great breakfast served either in your room or you can go to the kitchen and be served by Dave, the owner. Breakfast is included in the price. Rooms have their own ensuite, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities. Good value for money.

Last minute booking whilst travelling from Launceston to Strahan. We were welcomed by David , the owner, with a huge smile and friendly conversation. The room was well furnished with complimentary bottled water, free wifi and period decor. The rate of $120 included fully cooked breakfast for two, a very generous breakfast. I would highly recommend this B & B... More

This was a first rate B & B right in the heart of town. The room is well appointed, extremely clean and the bed is comfortable. The owners demonstrate exceptional hospitality and cook a lovely breakfast for their guests. The price is reasonable, the house is lovely and even has off street parking. I cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough.

Great cooked breakfast with fresh ingredients, comfortable accommodation - our room wasn't huge, but had everything we needed, and the beds were comfortable. Good price and service. I'd stay here again and would recommend it to others.

Lovely, spacious rooms, nice bathroom, and all other facilities you will require. Nice quiet location in the middle of town. Hosts were great and breakfast was good, although a bit too regimented - could have been more casual. Only drawback of staying in Smithton instead of Stanley is the lack of good eateries, although Stanley only 20km away, which is... More

We stayed in the Suite, which has a separate lounge, a spa bath and large bedroom. The decor was last century and well done. The breakfasts were sensational. The hosts, Dave and Natalia, were good value with a great sense of humour and very relaxed. This was our first experience at B&B accommodation and sets a high benchmark. The automatic... More
