We arrived about 6.10pm,. and left about 6am the next morning! It was just to do the ghost tour at Port Arthur. The Motor Inn was lovely - well maintained, very clean, warm, comfy and equipped. The staff were great on the phone and also when we are arrived. No unwanted guests overnight!! Wooooooooooo.........seriously though, top marks to the drew...

Free WiFi, comfy bed and couch and yummy biscuits in the room - the latter seems to be a dying tradition in most other hotels and was a bit of welcome nostalgia. Check- in was through the front-bar of the hotel but was friendly enough and easy, was advised that the restaurant was open 5:30-7:30 for tea and after a...

Loved our stay, walked into an interconnecting room for our family of 5 with 3 singles in one room and a double in the other. Quite dated but very clean and the beds are very comfortable and for $190 I think the price fits. loved the chilled bottles of water in the fridge.... Just what I needed after a long...

Old place...great view of heritage site. Receptionist NOT welcoming...did NOT warn us about the water...Water that is ok to wash with but not drinkable. We arrived late and when I mentioned the water issue in the morning the receptionist replied snarkily that they gave us 2 bottles of water! All other restaurants ( & the Unesco heritage site) mention the...

Didn't really enjoy our stay at the Motor Inn. Our rooms were very outdated and musty, and if it weren't for the location, I would never recommend anyone stay here. Actually, would have preferred to drive back to Hobart after the Ghost Tour, rather than stay if I hadn't already payed.

We tied up at the Public Jetty Sunday eve and walked to the Inn. Arriving after some 10 mins walk, we were greeted by the Owners? and a very pleasant atmosphere. We asked if meals were served that evening. yes. We sat and ordered, looking out over the Ruins and the bay. Started with the obligatory 'Pub loaf' Huge!!, Oysters...

Stayed one night on a tour. The motel overlooks the Port Arthur world heritage historical site. Rooms are dated, but clean and comfortable. Complimentary bottle of water. Shower very small and water took a long time to warm up. Dinner served at the bar or restaurant, reasonable prices for meals. Breakfast - cereal, toast, juice, tea, coffee.

Perfect location for visiting Port Arthur Historic Site with it's own private gate. Tired dated rooms and a funny smell in some of the public areas. Slightly scary entering the bar during a football match and being booed as we asked for the wifi code ( because the TV had to be turned down) Room comfortable and clean but extremely...
