Paid $99 for one night. The Port Arthur Motor Inn is the closest accommodation to the historic site in Port Arthur. Your room key actually opens up the gate from the property leading into the historic site! We checked in via their bar as there was nobody in the reception; which was fine. Room was a little rundown with those... More

If I have a choice I won't stay in Port Arthur next time I visit here. This motel is right next to the historic site and I'm worried there might be some invisible visitors in the midnight. Haha, just joking. It's really good value for one night stay, old but clean. The staff is very friendly. The best is the... More

Arrived late due to sightseeing on the way, rang ahead, arrangements regarding rooms and keys were organised no problem. Had time to go into the restaurant to have a drink and admire view of Port Arthur. Room was big, clean and it was quiet. Only negative was that unable to park car close to room though they provide a car... More

We stayed here overnight in 2 rooms. The rooms are very good and clean, but the walls dividing are paper thin so of you get neighbours who are noisy then...? The restaurant was good with the usual items for a motel but I chose the seafood platter and said I didn't like oysters so instead they served me tinned smoked... More

Great location to the historic site...the lady at reception was most helpful...who later greeted us for our dining experience in the restaurant. Waitstaff were friendly...delicious meals from our entree's to our mains and to top it off...dining with a view. We were pleased to pay a little extra for a room overlooking the historic site...the room was clean...but dated.

The bistro restaurant service was horrible, no staff, waited inside for over 20mins with staff from the bar not even acknowledging us. Other people had the same response. Was there over the Christmas/new year period so you would think they would be on top of staff and attending to guests. Avoid

This motel is conveniently located across from the Historic Site and one can park here and access the Site through a side gate. Other than that the rooms are clean but dated. There was air-conditioning which would be a bonus if the weather became warm. Dinner options at Port Arthur are limited and this motel has a restaurant (which i... More

We had a room in the Officers' Wing for AUD130 + AUD20 for two brekkies. Our room overlooked the park, and we merely walked through the lower gate that evening for the Ghost Tour. Room was basic and comfortable. Brekky was OK.

Like most we were in Port Arthur to visit the historic site, and you can't beat the location of the motor inn for that. Our room looked on to the historic site (see photo) and our room key gave us access to the site through a side gate. The room was not huge and the bathroom was dated, but it... More
