Oatlands Lodge was a very welcome stopover for us on our way north from Hobart to Launceston. The hard-working hosts could not have been more helpful and the breakfast was unbelievable. The lodge itself is a beautiful and authentic 1830's stone house typical of the area and the whole place just oozes history. The rooms were spotlessly clean, roomy and...

Headed south instead of north because of the smoke from the fires reaching even to the East. By chance we were able to book the last free room at the Oatlands Lodge as the owners had a busy night ahead with the other rooms booked by the Mart auctioneers! Welcomed by Gerard with a really warm and friendly manner. Shown...

we were directed to Oatlands Lodge by the tourist centre in town and what a find. Danny who took us up to the house was so friendly and helpful. The room was warm even thought outside it was cold. The guest lounge had a big fire and port and sheery to drink after returning from dinner. There were books to...

This Edwardian B&B was absolutely delightful. My adult daughter and I stayed in a twin room upstairs. The room had an ensuite and tea/coffee making facilities. The room was decorated with a mixture of antique and not so antique pieces and was warm and cosy. The beds were very comfortable and we had a very good night's sleep despite the...

This was a terrific place to stay. We spent the night there in June 2015 in ground floor No. 2, and it was nice that we were the only guests. Danny and Gerard were wonderful hosts. The service was excellent, great breakfast, and the antique décor was appreciated. We had met Danny at the Pancake & Crepe shop, which they...

I needed a central location to stay while purchasing a property in the area. I had eaten lunch at The Pancake and Crepe Shop, which was lovely, and was told about The Oatlands Lodge, which was also owned by the proprietor, Gerard. What a wonderful choice....I was welcomed and made feel at home and so very cosy in one of...

My sister and I stayed the night at Oatlands and it was sophistication with style, friendliness and warmth. The rooms are elegant with all needs meet for a comfortable night in a homestyle firer light house with delightful owners who tell a great story without being intrusive. I enjoyed my breakfast that was cooked to perfection. My sister throughly enjoyed...

This place is just brilliant. The colonial atmosphere is spot on, beds are comfortable and it very quiet. When we stayed it was $120 a night which included an excellent full breakfast and this represents extremely good value. Very Highly recommended

We stayed one night at Oatlands Lodge and it was lovely. Gerard and Danny were wonderful hosts and made us feel so welcome. The rooms are comfortable and well-quipped with everything you could possibly need, from hairdryer to iron. The breakfast is, to say the least, daunting in size but delicious. Dinner in Oatlands is a bit of a problem...

Don't bother with anything else. The boys have it all under control. You will want for nothing, especially if you time your meals around their crepe cafe opening hours so you don't have to go to the pub !
