Travelling through Tasmania & booked in at Tynwald Willow Bend Estate to find an old country manor house run by a very welcoming couple. Stayed for a most excellent meal, faultless. Met their pets, Tina the pig and Tom the cat. Thanks again Pat and Garry for a good time.

Wow, this very grand estate house is special. I love antiques & memorabilia and this house has oodles, maybe too many but the overall experience is wonderful. We chose downstairs room (small bathroom) but there are lots of choices. Dining Room is amazing, expensive but excellent and the atmosphere fantastic. Breakfast in the original kitchen with flagstone floors is wonderful... More

A very beautiful old home to stay at, Pam & Gerry have done an amazing job recreating the era of around 1830's. And the food....so worth the money you spend in their restaurant. They have won awards at local shows for the jams, breads & preserves.

My first impression was a little strange, I felt like I had sneaked into a museum and was staying after it was locked up because it was such a quiet house. But Pat and Gary were very welcoming and the charms and personality of the building became apparent pretty soon, and the bed so comfy, and the breakfast beautiful in... More

When we arrived, we were not sure what to make of the property but once inside, the experience unfolded. Lovely old building with extremely comfortable beds with a rustic feel to the whole place. Dinner was delightful and extremely tasty as was the breakfast, Totally recommend for a different experience.

Such a disappointment having been recommended this B and B .The place is past it's best - Dusty and cluttered. Yes I know it is supposed to be antique but to make it work at this price it has to be great quality too. Unfortunately Gary was running it on his own and obviously more interested in his pigs. He... One word: Don't. First impressions were very bad; junky knick-knacks, stained carpet, dusty surfaces, lace bedspread torn in several places, dusty lace around the four poster bed, and the arrangement of dried flowers in the grate looked as old as the 100+ year old house. (A tip for accommodation owners; dead plants, even in the guise of a flower arrangement... More

My partner & I stumbled across Tynwald on the last night of a great 2 week stay in Tasmania late in 2013. Partner refused the "Let's have a pizza in our room" gambit, so we went in the search for a restaurant in New Norfolk. Pubs, cafés, no deal. Drive down the street with the Tynwald sign, only to reach... More

This is a lovely, heritage English style bnb. Rooms inside the main house are sizeable and continues the styling throughout. The self contained cottage, is smallish but great for a couples getaway. The downside was the advertised heated pool was empty and homestead a little dusty, which was a shame. Despite this the food was lovely and hospitality excellent. A... More

We enjoyed our stay at Tynwald, which is a magnificent home. The room was beautifully furnished, although the bed was not very comfy... too hard for our liking, and no soft topper on it. The ensuite bathroom was a shower and toilet only, with basin in the bedroom. The main drawback from our viewpoint was that the advertised heated swimming... More
