The Mountain View House (which is separate from the actual hotel, just two doors down) is lovely. It has a beautiful fairly-like garden with a small creek in the back yard, great for kids, and a nice view out the back to the mountain. 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, we had a very comfortable stay. Very clean and good amenities....

I've pondered long whether I'd rate this as a 2 or 3. I would have given it a 2.5 if that was possible. My ratings are also relative, that means that I'm comparing this stay to others in the same month in Tasmania. So, without further ado: bed was OK, room was clean. Breakfast was a negative, thousands of little...

Used as a stopover on our way to Cradle Mountain, our room at the guesthouse contained all the basics. It was clean, cosy and comfortable, with a mountain view. Its gardens were picturesque and pretty. Our stay there was enjoyable until we got to breakfast. We were expecting a simple breakfast given previous reviews however these reviewers should consider themselves...

MCGH deserves its reputation as a lovely example of old style accomodation in a beautiful garden setting. It has a significant place in the travellers heart and we have very happily stayed in the past. Sadly though our experience this time did not anywhere near match up. The basic but pleasant and clean Garden Cottage Room was smaller and less...

We stayed at the Mole Creek Guest House our first night in Tassie and loved it! The manager was friendly and accommodating. The room was very sweet with a nice big window and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was small but clean. Breakfast was provided which was good! The garden behind the building was amazing, with a little creek running....

We were looking forward to our stay here, based on the many glowing reviews. Overall, we found Mole Creek Guest House a bit disappointing. On the positive side, the building itself is charming, and the grounds are pretty, with a picturesque creek running through the back yard. We had a three-person semi-suite comprising two small rooms plus a nice bathroom....

I stayed at MCGH to locate myself centrally for an extended period of bushwalking and photography in the area. My accommodation consisted of one room with a single bed, a main bedroom with a queen bed and a clean sizeable bathroom. Upon arrival I was warmly greeted by Luke. There was no delay in taking me to my room and...

Very nicely appointed B&B style operation, the building built in the early 1900s presumably to service the caves. The pressed metal walls and ceilings are classic. Some of the soft finishes verge on B&B "twee" style - but you get that. The operators are polite and helpful. The communal breakfast space is insufficient for the number of rooms, so tables...

Mole Creek is a great central location to access the Tasmanian Food Trail, the nearby caves, and of course Cradle Mountain. As we drove into Mole Creek I was a little worried though because it is a small town, but as soon as our host took us down the driveway I just had a huge smile on my face! The...

We stayed at the Platpus Cottage. It is a modern, spacious cottage with everything we might need in place. The place was nice and tidy; the beds were very comfortable; beautiful gardens; beautiful view; the location was great - close to Anlum Cliff and the famous caves, not far from Craddle Mountain National Park. the couple managing the place was...
