We loved Plovers Ridge Country Retreat - it really is a retreat. Peaceful, lovely views, friendly hosts. Included cooked breaky. We liked that the home included games to play and classical music to listen to. It was a short stay but very worthwhile. Please note there are not many eateries nearby (we drove to Launceston) so bring food or eat...

So pleased you enjoyed your stay with us Gianna. We try to make our cottages as homely as possible with a mix of entertainment to suit all tastes. Our local tavern serves dinner two nights a week and there is a well stocked supermarket for those who wish to self cater in Leatherwood's fully equipped kitchen. We also offer dinners...

When we walked into the house, We were immediately obsessed in the amazing view looking through the windows. I had to say it's even better than the pictures on the website! But what impressed us more was the cleanness and professional house keeping by the thoughtful owners. You can get everything you need in the house, and the owners Pete...

The views and location is why we choose to live here and make our property available for travellers. We are therefore delighted when our guests love our cottages as much as we do. We hope it is not too long before you are able to visit Tasmania again.

This has got to be the best spot we have stayed over our 2 weeks vacation in Australia + Tasmania. An easy 1 hr drive from wine tasting at Tamar Valley, we chose to stay here for the night as we plan to visit Bridestowe Lavender Farm the next morning, which is only ~20mins drive away. As with previous reviewers,...

Having a cosy two bedroom cottage to ourselves was more than you get at most B and B's - but being treated to the most delicious and generous breakfasts by Jenni was the icing on the cake. We can't rave enough about Plovers Ridge. We tried some wineries including big name ones but actually preferred Leaning Church which is next...

What a brilliant pit-stop on our Hobart to Launceston drive in wine country. We arrived late afternoon and were unsure what to expect as we were guessing the slightly complicated website was either over or under selling plovers ridge. It was underselling! The location is absolutely stunning, the cottage we were in had absolutely everything you could wish for, the...

Beautiful cottage with a nice warm atmosphere! Great view looking over Lilydale. They deliver a beautiful breakfast to the cottage each morning. Both the owners are so nice and friendly. Would highly recommend.

We stayed two nights in this very comfortable, rustic, country cottage. The location is stunning, looking across a rural valley. It is a little out of the way to visit many of the Tamar Valley wineries, but nothing is really that far to travel in Tasmania. The supplied breakfasts were stunning and fresh.

Thank you for your comments - so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us (and our breakfasts). Possibly you missed our two immediate neighbouring vineyards, Providence and Leaning Church one of which showcases a wide range of Tasmanian wines and the other offers lunches. Next visit...

We loved the views, the comfort, the spacious room and the tranquillity. And the ease of not having to go out again to eat or cook our own after a day of driving - Jeni delivered a delicious dinner at a time suitable to us. The cooked breaky next morning set us up for the day.

I was completely blown away with everything about Plovers Ridge. I couldn't rate it highly enough. I stayed in Celery Top, but the other two cottages are also lovely, all so clean and comfortable, and each with a spectacular view. The farm is gorgeous and has great walks. The location is central for a variety of activities and interests. Jeni...

I stayed here with my family, including 2 kids under 5. Location is terrific (20 minutes drive from Launceston) and makes the Tamar valley very accessible by car.
